The trip itself was good. The food was good, The stops were nice places but compared to other cruises that we have been on Norwegian lacks one huge thing SERVICE. I have never been on a cruise where you didn't have drinks shoved in your face every 5 minutes but I can tell you that you do not have to worry about it on Norwegian.....I am not sure if it was because we had the Ultimate Beverage Package but we have done the same on other lines and had no issue. Norwegian has eliminated the worry of signing a piece of paper when you get your drink and thus the option to give your server an additional tip! This is where the issue lies (my opinion). We had the same lack of service from our stateroom attendant......Who knows..... 

I did not get the $50 onboard credit for getting a balcony promised from BJ's. We only received the $100 OBC.  However, my daughter Ana Estevill-Perez did receive the $150 OBC. The cruise was very expensive, the food in the Buffet was poor and there was not enough entertainment.  Also, there were no drawers in our cabin only shelves, I had to keep my underwear and my husband's underwear and soxs in plastic bags.  At Cozumel we got off at 11 a.m and had to be back oboard by 6:30 p.m. and ship did not leave until 10:00 p.m.  We could have had more time at Cozumel, etc.  We did not like this cruise at all and frankly I don't think we will do any cruising with NCL in the future and the same goes for all 18 of us that took this cruise.

Everything was ok. Really no complaints. However, if I had to compare Norwegian with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean, I would rate Norwegian as the 3rd in line for various reasons. It was very difficult, if not impossible, to get reservations in the speciality restaurants, it took a long time to get off the ship when going to Norwegian's private island in the Bahamas as there were 3 tenders to disembark an entire ship so the waiting was long and uncalled for. The staff was ok but did not really go out of their way to be welcoming. To disembark the ship in Miami, we were supposed to disembark by about 10:00 AM and then at about 9:30 the Captain states that anyone who has not left should proceed to leave. It took well over an hour to finally get off the ship and nobody had the courtesy to inform us of the delay; very irresponsible. I am from Montreal Canada and my reservation was made in English and all my documents I received from Norwegian prior to getting on the ship were in English but then for some reason Norwegian assumed that because we came from the province of Quebec they deemed us as French speaking and gave us welcoming information in French. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that Canada has two official languages and that out of courtesy, they should have sent a bilingual welcoming letter to play it safe. Customer Service was close to where the band always played and if you happened to be at customer service when a band was playing, it was very difficult to hear what customer service was saying. When checking in at the port of Miami it took an exceptionally long time to check in' perhaps close to an hour and a half. I have been on other cruises and this by far was the longest I ever at to wait.

FINE! NOTHING IN PARTICULAR. GETTING UP AND DOWN ON THE ELEVATOR WAS A BIT LONG, MOST OF THE TIME. FOOD WAS OK. SERVICE WAS FINE. NOTHING MOR TO ADD. LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER CRUISE NEXT YEAR,

I was so looking forward to being on a beautiful ship with wonderful Spa, that was it!!  A beautiful Ship and a Wondderful Spa.  Extra charges were never mentioned: Shows, Restaurants, Mini Bar even if you purchased the Drink Package!?  Bottled Water Extra?!  Room service Extra $$ Yes, you expect to pay gratuities, gladly. Not for their service!  It was far below average, waiting for dinner courses, cold food, served dessert and then tea or coffee maybe 10-15 min. later!  Certainly not first class service! Allowing children to ruin a dinner/dance restaurant with children running all over the dance floor on Christmas Evening!  Children playing Bingo?? What happened to supervised children activities so adults can enjoy an evening or afternoon?  Selling pull tickets before a show?  BAD TASTE! Sell-Sell-Sell?!

I will never crusie with Norwegian again-they nickle and dime you for everything, not my idea of something that should be all inclusive.  The Getaway Ship is beautiful, the Spa & Spa staff was very good, but that was the only positive thing about this cruise.  

The ship was excellent I spend a good week aboard the Getaway. We will come back on a Norwegian ship. We are thinking for a 10 or 11 days for the Panama Canal sailing from Miami.

From the time we entered the port and boarded the ship, I was awestruck by the beauty and the pristine condition of the boat and all of its amenities.  The restaurants were just fabulous and the food was fantastic. We tried 3 different restaurants and each time it was just perfect.  The staff was terrific and extremely helpful in all areas of the boat.  The pool, children's area was a big hit and it flowed despite all the people there.  I managed to see some of the outings for the day, played bingo, saw Jurassic Park in 3D, shopped some special sales and had a great time.  The excursions were really nice and it was great to have a variety of themes to choose from while in port. 

This was my first cruise, and I had a blast. The onboard experience was top-notch - everyone who worked on the ship was friendly and helpful, I wanted for nothing. Having the beverage package was definitely a value, as I was with my family, and we love our happy hours! 

The food was for the most part, quite good. My only qualm was with the high level of sodium in the restaurant food (Taste, Savor, Le Bistro, Tropicana Room...) - normally I may add salt to a dish, but on most occasions I found myself wanting to remove the salt from the prepared dish!  Buffet options were plentiful, and fresh - no grossly picked over messes - the staff kept everything at the right temperature, and made sure all areas were clean and appetizing. Speaking of clean- they also made it really easy to not spread your germs, with sanitizer at every entrance, and additional staff with spray bottles at  the ready. 

Mandara Spa is worth the extra $$ if for the hot stone massage alone. Do it.

The best excursion I went on was the Cool Runnings 2 Reggae Boat Party Catamaran to Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica. The crew on the boat were very fun and cool, and the post-Falls rum punches were plentiful!

There was so much to experience, I will have to go again. I really enjoyed the Getaway, the Norwegian freestyle cruising philosophy, and the level of service and attention to detail in all aspects of my trip.

From the very beginning, it was obvious that it was going to be a fantastic trip. Every person that we came in contact with from the Ticketing and on-board team to the wait staff and shopping consultant were all about customer service. I would highly encourage anyone taking a cruise to consider and Norwegian Cruise lines.   If you drink get the Ultimate Beverage Package,  sign up for excursions early(even before the cruise if you have time), and don't wait to make reservations for the restaurants until the day of - they book up!  The Getaway was awesome!

NOT A GOOD CRUISE HAVE TO PAY AND PAY SOME MORE ROOM SERVICES IS NOT FREE AND THE FOOD IS COLD THE SUITE ARE SO LITTLE UNTIL YOU FELL LIKE YOU ARE IN A BX  HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY . A MONEY SHIP  HAD A PACKAGES DID NOT GET 1/2 OF THE STUFF I PAID FOR  JUST NEVER BEEN ON NOTHING LIKE THAT CRUISE BEFORE IN MY  LIFE WOULD NOT LET MY   DOG GO ON THIS TRIP  DID NOT GO EVERY WHERE WE WAS TO GO WAS ONLY TO HAVE 2 DAYS AT SEAS AND WAS AT  SEA FOR 3 DAYS ALL THEY REFUND WAS 13.30 IT IS SO MUCH UNITLL 150 WORDS CANNOT TELL IT CALL NO ONE WAS HAPPY ON THAT SHIP EVERYDAY LINES WAS OUT THE DOOR AT THE CUSTOMER  SERVICES DESK  JUST ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER  AND ANOTHER HAD A SPA DAY COULD NOT ENJOY IT BECAUSE THEY WAS TRYING TO SELL YOU SOMETHING AND TALK THE WHOLE  TIME . THERE IS NO GOOD WORDS ABOUT THIS TRIP AND I SAIL 2 TIMES A YEAR BUT WILL NEVER  USED NCL  NEVER AND HOPE NO ONE ELS WOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH WHAT  WE DID WAS NOT WORTH THE MONEY   I THINK THEY ARE TRYING TO PAY FOR THE NEW SHIP NOTHING ON THERE IS FREE NOTHING NOT EVEN ROOM SERVICES 7:95 PER CALL . JUST READ AND TRY SOME OTHER CRUISE LINE .   

Had a good time. Ship get's most of the credit. Personnel was above average, but not exceptional.Water slides are awesome, Rope course and put put too. Pool is nice, and dinning was great. Shows are enjoyable, and entertainment staff goes above and beyond. Room service was great too. 

My shoes were stolen and a camera looking directly at the area I was at was not used to review who could have stolen them. 

The ship was beautiful with lots of things to do to keep you busy.  We loved the Dueling Piano bar and Comedy shows.  Ports were fun except that we missed the private island in the Bahamas due to rough seas.  Service was real good in the restaurants and freestyle dining is the way to go.

The only negative was getting off Grand Cayman back to the ship via tenders.  We had to wait an hour and a half in a line in hot weather.  Greater coordination is needed to fix that problem.

Only other complaint is the price of a beer is now approaching eight bucks with an 18% gratuity.

All I can say is aaahhhh Getaway!!!!  Beautiful ship, good food, great entertainment.

All the bands were good but Jarmaine n those groove international boys were fantastic. Jarmaine is the best I've seen on the many cruises we've taken. We had minor problem with room but NCL was very accommodating.. Shows were just ok for me only because I've seen so many others. Overall great cruise n good itenarary. Loved it n looking forward to Escape next year.

I was promised a $50.00 on board credit and never received it. Sharon Bennett was my agent and I had to call her on the cruise to find out what happened to it. She said I would get a credit on my American Express when I got home and as of today 12/28/15 I still have not gotten it. I have called her many times since I am home and left messages and as of now she has not called me back. I have dealt with many cruise lines and agents and never had a problem. The same thing happened with my daughter and Granddaughter.. None of us has gotten our $50.00 credited to our charge cards.I expect to hear from you.

We really enjoyed our cruise experience with Norweign,it was our first with this line. We did not enjoy the All-Terrain excursion because 80% of the time the vehicles weren't working and we were an hour late getting back to the ship & family waiting for us.

This was our first cruise, and we loved it.  There were no shortages of things to see and do while at sea, and the stops and excursions were top-notch.  The only negative that I took away from this trip was that I purchased it for my wife's birthday present, and we were supposed to have a "surprise" birthday cake for her which never did.  Other than that, I was totally happy with the cruise.

The buffet on deck 15 served food that was barely warm and mostly tasteless.  It tasted like it had been warmed after having been frozen.  This is not up to the Norwegian standards we have come ro expect.  We also note that the guest services desk took an inordinate amount of time to serve customers.  In fairness, I will say that the French rstaurant and the Teppanyako Grill had excellent servers and the food was very good.  The Moderno experience we had was not good.  We never did get any chicken serves.  Cagneys was better food and better service.  In talking to other passengers, many were dissatisfied.  We have taken approximately 14 cruises and this cruise was not what we expect from NCL.
