Review summary

The ship was beautiful with lots of things to do to keep you busy.  We loved the Dueling Piano bar and Comedy shows.  Ports were fun except that we missed the private island in the Bahamas due to rough seas.  Service was real good in the restaurants and freestyle dining is the way to go.

The only negative was getting off Grand Cayman back to the ship via tenders.  We had to wait an hour and a half in a line in hot weather.  Greater coordination is needed to fix that problem.

Only other complaint is the price of a beer is now approaching eight bucks with an 18% gratuity.

It was a little smaller than most ships but still plenty of room. The balcony was also a little smaller as well but again not enough to ruin the experience.

Ship tip

Make sure you enjoy the Dueling Piano bar and comedy shows they were our highlight. Also when dining in the Tropicana try to sit in RD's (Artisian) section as he provided a wonderful dining experience with superior service.

Is that why you can't pre book an excursion there? Because there is a good chance you won't stop?

joefirm that's exactly what Carnival did in August we missed HMC due to the hurricane and they stopped in Freeport and that was nice

With the private island being big and miss this time of year, they should probably just alter the itinerary and remove the private island.

You'd think that they could arrange to stop in Freeport or Nassau if the weather is too rough to tender to the private island.

I sailed on 6th Dec and stopped at the private island

I wonder....has anyone anyone actually not had to bypass the Norwegian private island in December? We had the same issue two years ago.
