Review summary

I was so looking forward to being on a beautiful ship with wonderful Spa, that was it!!  A beautiful Ship and a Wondderful Spa.  Extra charges were never mentioned: Shows, Restaurants, Mini Bar even if you purchased the Drink Package!?  Bottled Water Extra?!  Room service Extra $$ Yes, you expect to pay gratuities, gladly. Not for their service!  It was far below average, waiting for dinner courses, cold food, served dessert and then tea or coffee maybe 10-15 min. later!  Certainly not first class service! Allowing children to ruin a dinner/dance restaurant with children running all over the dance floor on Christmas Evening!  Children playing Bingo?? What happened to supervised children activities so adults can enjoy an evening or afternoon?  Selling pull tickets before a show?  BAD TASTE! Sell-Sell-Sell?!

I will never crusie with Norwegian again-they nickle and dime you for everything, not my idea of something that should be all inclusive.  The Getaway Ship is beautiful, the Spa & Spa staff was very good, but that was the only positive thing about this cruise.

The cabin was well appointed, our steward was polite but gave very little information. He could of done a bit better with cleaning the room. It was just ok - he skipped things that should not of been overlooked.

Please, if you feel "entitled " for just one second, stay home. You are no better than anyone else.

I'll be in the spa all 7 days sounds perfect to me haha! Oh we pre booked those super secret specialty restaurants. Sounds like the perfect vacation to me. Oh wait I've cruised many times. Nothing's free. It's very clear what included and what's not

I understand that gratuities are expected and I don't mind paying. Yes children are expected as well but should be supervised especially in a restaurant on Christmas evening. The children had plenty of programs, a dinner dance restaurant is meant for adults not for children to be doing cartwheels on the dance floor.

When I mentioned all-inclusive I should've stated the particulars that are the usual on a cruise ship. I have cruised many times and have had better service and better choices for dining without having to pay any extra.

I just felt that every time I turned around there was another fee or another charge much more so than any other cruise line. I can understand for specialty restaurants, as for entertainment I don't think that's right.

I've had children, on vacations and I made sure that they were not disruptive to others. I don't mind being around children and I love my grandchildren.

Extra research ahead of time can save a lot of heartache. Inclusions and exclusions are usually clearly stated upon booking. As MrsBaldwin said, its best to work around school breaks when booking a cruise - or even a land based resort vacation.

I'm not sure how many cruises you've been on but all cruise lines and cruise ships have extras, none of them are all inclusive they have specialty restaurants specialty shows and I've never been on one with spa services were included that's how they make extra money. And as far as children being there ruining your Christmas eve, they don't come for free they pay just like you paid. Ships always have a lot of children doing the summer break and holidays because they're out of school.
