Request the dining arrangements you want. We were happy our request for a table for two for dinner was accommodated. Breakfast in the dining room was delightful but it closes early. Lido dinners -- especially pasta bar selections -- were delightful.
We had "As you wish" dining and it worked out fine! Desserts are not worth the calories......ask HAL to bring the "Chocolate Melting Cake" from Carnival to HAL.....best dessert you will ever have. My thoughts......the executives of HAL need to have a few meals on the Carnival Breeze....!
I requested a small table after the first evening. I was placed at a round 8 person table and it took too long to be served. I left after 2.5 hours, didn't wait for dessert to be served. The small 2-4 person table is perfect and I had very nice people to visit with. The staff did a great job.
Don't ask for a larger table because they will not give it to you even if it's available. Never been told "no" so many times on a cruise. If they say no dinner reservations that you want are available, book another cruise line.
Unlike previous cruises, there was no captain's party/cocktail hour OR a complimentary bottle of wine. On this ship not even a bottle of water was complimentary.
The crew and the ship were 5 stars out of 5 !The food , the entertainment , the service was far more then I expected !!I would recommend to everyone I know !!! Very, very satisfied !!
DO NOT do any time dinning!!! ALWAYS a wait. If you do late dining you will NEVER get to the show. If you have a unique diet, like no dairy or gluten, DO NOT tell them, as it takes them FOREVER to get you things, and they will simply not bring a dish (not offer a substitute) if there is an issue.
We had as you wish dining but after the first night in the Main Dining Room I gave up (the wait staff had no idea if there was any dairy in any of the meals and had no options). Ate at Tamarind and it was amazingly good, highly recommend it.
A wonderful ship for seniors who enjoy cruising. I found the Spa attendants to not be very helpful. There was not any attendant present in the mineral therapy spa. The fee to have your nails done was much overpriced and unreasonable in my opinion.
WE had as you wish dinning. they did there best to get us a table for two every time. you can make reservations early also. we never felt rushed any were we went.
