Not the staff. But, the first day getting on. I saw a camera left on a lounge chair. The next day we took it it to the lost and found section person. I asked if anyone reported a lost camera. She checked and said no. send it to Florida. I went out and found the owner myself. They were so happy.
Need to STOP the constant up sell. It gets so old. If I want to eat at a different restaurant, I will find it! You don't have to try and take my reservation while I am eating somewhere else.
The whole ship smelled like cigarettes because all the stairways on the main floor were open and lead down to the casino's. Thus, the cigarette smoke wafted up and filled all floors of the ship. I did not pay for a smokers cruise.
You can get a good deal for your next cruise onboard, so do some research beforehand. Also, there are lots of shopping opportunities onboard, so budget for this if you want to take advantage of deals like jewelry etc. Internet is expensive. We survived the week without it. Watch TV for news updates.
All staff were very efficient in performing their various duties. Remember to venture out and discover all aspects of the ship - it offers a wide/diverse spectrum of activities. Ship was quite lovely and relatively easy to find your way around. Great signage by elevators to find directions.
If you enjoy sitting on the deck, i would suggest that you sit on the smoking side because the other side smelled like a sewer. The smoking side was beautiful and there weren't that many smokers out there at any given time.
Bring your own thermos/coffee pot to fill up in the Promenade Cafe in the mornings. The room service coffee isn't very good and this way you can get up when you want and take back to your room or sit on deck without someone waking you up to deliver to you.
Be cautious of on board "sales". Unless you paid for the wireless package, your phone can't Google the item to see if you are getting ripped off. My experience with on board shopping left a bad taste once I got on land to see what the real price was for the item I purchased and taught me a lesson.
I had a diamond ring returned to customer service. True story. Also, plan to bring money. Ship uses credit card account but excursions often want cash. Optional tip envelopes prefer cash as well. The rooms have a safe that you set. Also, pack comfortable clothes, you eat often.
