Be sure and connect with your sailings Facebook group if there is one. If there isn't, start one. It makes it a lot more fun and personal to feel like you're going with a bunch of new friends.

Plenty of dining options! Even if you don't pay extra for specialty. Probably the best included dining of any ship in Carnivals fleet. Lobster night in MDR, Shaqs chicken, panini place, pizza, Blue Iguana, and street eats. Didn't even touch a buffet.

Cruises have a lot of people, but the Mardi Gras takes it to the next level. Your first and last day will feel very crowded. Also, bring laayerable clothes because temperature varies widely.

Not all venues are open for lunch on port days, so make sure you visit the ones you don't want to miss on sea days.

The buffet food needs more variety. Pool area needs rules for children. Kids were jumping in and out of the Hot Tub with life jackets on like it was a swimming pool. Many of the adults were very upset getting splashed and having no relaxation in the tub. These children were unattended.

Carnival’s HUB app is a must while on the ship… it tell’s you what current food options are available, the entire agenda (you can change the day at the top), allows you to mark favorites so they show up in your planner and even notify you of the event and lets you book a realtime restaurant reservation if you have anytime dining. If the wait is longer than you one you can cancel and select another. Also, restroom doors are touchless… when using single rest rooms (either solo or within a shared restroom) use the touch less wall sensor to lock… not the toggle switch as it won’t lock. It takes 20 seconds for those doors to close… be patient. Great for disabled travelers!!

Bars closing to early. We like to meet people. Not heavy drinkers but that is where can meet great people.

Become very familiar with the CarniVal HUB application on the phone. It's needed to obtain dining reservations and they want you to use it as the dining menu. While I'm not a youngster, I taught more than one fellow passenger how to use it. As with all technology, the application has a glitch the first night of the cruise causing much confusion.

don't build another ship this big if your common areas and restaurants can't accommodate guests.

Get the drink package and enjoy all the different kinds of food and beverages on board. Partake in the MDR as well as the specialty restaurants. Get to shows early and enjoy a cocktail while you wait - they are worth it!
