1st but not the last cruise on the Mardi Gras ship.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The ease of getting on the board at Port Canaveral was very smooth. Show up with your documents, get signed in and walk straight on the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Awesome service in the dining room at night. Still not sold on the Seaday brunch sign in page. It worked good sometimes and others it caused long lines outside the restaurant.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Did the water slides and enjoyed those. Did use the walking track but found it to be just wide enough for one person. Didn't do many other activities since we did visit 3 ports.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
I enjoyed the Center Stage entertainment. It seemed to be a different show each night and the fact that you could view the show from 3 different levels was awesome. Did see some shows in the main theater. Loved that it looked like an actual theater and you could watch the shows without bar service folks walking around the entire time.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Loved our steward and dinner wait staff. They all went out of their way to make sure the room had everything we needed. Our lead waiter even had a Filipino meal made for my wife (Filipina) our last night on the cruise...very nice and definitely not something he had to do.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Didn't think I'd like the bigger ship due to the number of passengers but to my surprise there was more than enough room on the ship and you had plenty of places to visit onboard. The overall experience has got me looking forward to my next "big" ship experience.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was great. Best part of the cabin was the shower. It was a small one with a curtain that sticks to your body each time you turn. It had a glass door that opened/not slid shut. I feel that I had more than enough room to shower and actually be able to turn around in the shower.
Ship tip
Plenty to see on the Mardi Gras. Get out and enjoy it.
