The centrum glass elevators have their own buttons, (also must be used to access the viking crown lounge & Izumi on decks 11 & 12). You'll get an elevator faster if you use the buttons across from the glass elevators since there are 4.

There's a complimentary Steam Room and Sauna room in the spa (per gender). Go with the flow of the ship, it's slower paced and offers a true way to unwind and relax and enjoy whoever you're cruising with. Oh an be prepared to have the "Coco Cay" song stuck in your head.

The ship has been sold and I think that may be the reason for some corners being cut. I won’t sale on her again. Too many other better options out there.

Grandeur of the Seas is a older smaller ship which we like, but there are not a ton of activities for kids and this ship seems to cater to older slower adults. Patience with scooters and walkers is a must on this ship. Take a couple of books and relax during sea days.

If you have kids, probably want to take a larger boat so there is more for them to do.

It is a small ship but we loved that. It was so easy to get around! I like the big ships too. But this one was so cozy and laid back. Everyone seems to love working there! So many places to sit and relax and enjoy the ocean view. Never had to worry about finding a seat anytime!

Plan on using the staircases quite a bit. The elevators always seemed to be slow.

if You want more things to do then book a bigger boat but it was fun for the most part. I would leave out of Florida though because this cruise had three days at sea and I would have liked more bahama ports

This ship seems to move quite a bit even in smaller sea conditions. Not sure if they even have stabilizers? So if motion is a problem for you definitely take some type of precaution

Passengers tend to be older and local to the area( Maryland and Virginia) not a lot of heavy drinking

Grandeur isn’t set up for “handicapped “. Although there are a few ladies rooms labeled “handicapped “, they don’t have automatic doors and are very difficult to use. AND on 2 days that I know of, they actually CLOSED the deck 9 handicapped bathroom at 2 pm to clean it. There is only ONE truly handicapped accessible bathroom on the entire ship, in the back of deck 6.
