Review summary

Nice time under my circumstances. Looking forward to returning in June when I’m able to walk.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
They pushed up the embarkation time to avoid storm so it was a little hectic but still ok considering.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did only specialty restaurants for dinner so food was excellent as usual. Because of a broken ankle, did dining room for breakfast and again, it was always a nice experience.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Didn’t use them this cruise because of injury but there are plenty of things to do.

Entertainment

Nearly impossible to maneuver the Palladium with a knee scooter . There is usually “reserved seating” in the rear for Diamond Plus And above that would have been perfect EXCEPT... it was limited to ONLY PINNACLE & SUITE GUESTS for this cruise which was EXTREMELY disappointing.

Centrum

5 out of 5

Very nice place to just “hang out”. Always some kind of activity to watch or join in on. Nice musicians to listen to and enjoy.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Obviously, some were better than others but overall, I am never disappointed.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Disappointed in ship maintenance. I feel like, because she is leaving the fleet, RC is allowing her to get shabby.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Standard small inside cabin. Stateroom attendant kept it nice.

Ship tip

Grandeur isn’t set up for “handicapped “. Although there are a few ladies rooms labeled “handicapped “, they don’t have automatic doors and are very difficult to use. AND on 2 days that I know of, they actually CLOSED the deck 9 handicapped bathroom at 2 pm to clean it. There is only ONE truly handicapped accessible bathroom on the entire ship, in the back of deck 6.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland Did not visit port

Boarded straight from car.

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Broken ankle. Stayed on ship.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas Did not visit port

Broken ankle. Stayed on ship. Was very disappointed that they had to take most of the crew off ship to work on Coco Cay. Couldn’t get a bar server anywhere all day and (as always on port days) wasn’t able to get to any of the 2 bars that were open.

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Broken ankle. Stayed on ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and pleasant.
