Q: Few questions 1. When will we get luggage tags, cabin assignment (we didn’t choose ours)…etc? Supposed to depart May 20th. The app is saying check in is available April 5th. 2. Got the alcohol drinking package…when we board do we need to do anything or is it connected to our sea pass that we will receive?3. What’s the address for the Miami port? Is there a secure parking deck? We will be driving through the night and will arrive the morning of our departure date.4. Do all cabins have a safe?5. When check in becomes available, will there be more things to see on the app? For example, choosing our boarding time?

A: 1b) The online check-in is best done on the full website's Cruise Planner because the mobile app often glitches, + it's easier to see the sections you can skip to get to where you pick your pre-boarding Arrival Time faster.
Answered by maryred on March 13, 2023
A: 1a) When you book a guaranteed stateroom category (GNT) Royal, can wait until embarkation day to assign your cabin out of the pool of left over cabins or you could get a notification sooner if the ship is close to full. The cabin location is not need... ed to be able to do the online check-in.See More

A: 3. Not sure about parking but the port address and terminal will be in your packet. 4. To the best of my knowledge all cabins have a safe. it isn't very big but it will hold wallets, passports, some jewelry and watches. 5. The app at times is ve... ry dynamic. As the cruise gets closer the Daily Planner will become more populated. Your boarding time will be selected during checkin. Hope this helpsSee More

A: Inside the packet will be a luggage tag that you need to print - 1 for each bag you will not carry on yourself. The packet will also have your room number and the address of the port and terminal of the ship. 2. The alcohol package starts automatic... ally once you board. Q: My husband and I are going on this ship this summer. (It’s his first cruise and I want him to enjoy it and go on another one. :). I’ve read some not so great reviews about this ship being boring. Please help give me some ideas and things to do to make it enjoyable for him! (We’re in our late 40s/early 50s!) Also, what’re some of the favorite excursions in Mexico, Honduras, and Belize? Thanks!

A: Relaxing in a hot tub with a drink in hand has its charms while on the ship. Belize, we loved our tour to the Mayan ruins of Xunantunich. Roatan, book a tour of the island with Bodden Tours. Request Jerry. Cozumel, we love snorkeling.

A: The ship is small and one of the oldest in the fleet. It lacks many of the bells and whistles commonly found on many of RCCL’s newer, larger ships. That said the vision class, of which the Grandeur is, is a favorite of my wife and mine. The size faci... litates passengers interaction and a close knit crew. Familiarity with and navigation on the ship is easily achieved. There are several bars onboard where you can listen to live music and make new friends. We enjoy the Schooner Bar in the evening. Hanging out at the pool or in the solarium is always relaxing. Try a couples message in the spa. Cost is less on port days. Nightly shows in the theater featuring singers, dancers, and comedians are enjoyable as are passenger inclusive activities like karaoke, cocktail mixology classes, and my personal favorite The Love and Marriage Game. As for excursions, we love the couples cooking class at Playa Mia Beach Resort in Cozumel and the Lamanai Mayan Ruins in Belize. Both were purchased through RCCLSee More

Q: Trying to save on things. Do we have to purchase the drink package for cokes and tea?
Thumbs Up
0
A: You can pay by the glass/can, about $4/ea. So if you see a sale for the soda package between $8-10, it makes sense to get since 2-3 sodas will cost as much, plus the pkg. add Freestyle access. Standard teas, including some herbals, are free but self... serve. Teas hot or iced from the coffee shop are charged for. If on a ship with a Starbucks kiosk, those are NOT covered by any drink package.See More

A: Royal has tea compliments of your sailing. I bring things like MIO and Gatorade packets and my water bottle and make my own drinks.
Answered by berettafleur on August 29, 2022
A: If you are not flying or get to port early, each person can bring on a 12 of can sodas (Carnival). Of course you can bring your own tea bags.
