Unless you have an EDL from 1 of the 5 states allowed to issue them New York, Vermont, Michigan, Minnesota, & Washington state you will need your birth certificate to prove nationality regardless if using a Real ID or "normal" DL. You will need a Real ID DL starting in May of 2025 to enter a domestic airport or any federal building with state and municipality level buildings opting to require or not.
