Changed policy for dress in formal dining room from past cruise aboard Grandeur, before could wear dress shorts, now must wear long pants during dinner times. Activities director does a fantastic job.

Do not cruise on this ship in January if you are under 65 and enjoy a diversity of cruise passengers.

I really enjoyed the champagne buffet at Izumi and the buffet at Chops Grill. The lobster was the best at both places.

Recommend eating lunch and dinner in the Gatsby if you don't enjoy the snatch and grab scenarios sometimes experienced in the Windjammer. Not fault of staff, due to "grabby" passengers. BUT - the choice of food is good, and all should be able to eat well in the Windjammer. Service is good.

Did Giovanni's & Chef Table, both were outstanding! One improvement, the TV arrangement that RCL has with Turner needs to go. You are stuck with old reruns, terrible news coverage & almost no sports short of cricket. Maybe it's a plan to make sure nobody stays in their cabin....

Eat in the Main Dining Room often in order to meet the wonderful passengers on-board. If you are new to cruising, you can learn from their experiences.

Windjammer service was non existent. Tables weren't cleaned as patrons were leaving. No one offered us coffee or water. It was difficult to find an empty table, and when you found one , you had to clean it yourself. Mandatory tipping is lowering the quality of service.

Izumi restaurant was great. Excursions booked online in advance through Royal Caribbean links have little support from the excursion desk staff.

I wanted shaved almonds for grits. They had shaved almonds that salad bar. But they can never find almonds for breakfast. If you want a BLT for lunch to get your bacon in the morning and take it at lunch. Brown sugar in the morning and they couldn't find any. Although you know they have some.

Get up early if you want a seat in the Windjammer while at sea. If you want an exciting, special lunch everyday, go to the Great Gatsby. It is only open from 11:45 - 1:00. The Diamond Members have a special dining area.
