Review summary
LOVED the cruise director with the great sense of humor! Loved the food and staff, HATED the
décor. Curtains from 1950, deck décor a little later. Woodwork, especially the railings, was worn
and scarred, and even though we were told the ship's been recently "re-done," it looked more
done in. Wouldn't rush to take the next cruise on Royal Caribbean.

Gatsby's great, but the Windjammer's excellent, too.

I don't think that Cruiser816 actually thought that the curtains were really from the 1950's. I do think that your criticism of the review by Cruiser816 are a little harsh. They joined Cruiseline yesterday to post their review as they saw the cruise from their own perspective. It is doubtful after they read your comments that they will post again.

Wow, this is the first review I have read that down grades a cruise because they did not like the cabin decor.... They said the food and Cruise Director and service were "GREAT" but downgrade everything for cabin decor. The ship was built in 1996 and was last updated 2012, so the drapes were not "from the 50's"
You booked an older, smaller ship, you got what you booked. The ship is 20 years old with 2,400 people getting on an off of her a week. Before you book a cruise do some research on the ship if decor can turn a great cruise to 2 star for you.
