Don't book on Grand Princess for more than seven days. Don't book at all. Princess is acclaimed as top notch cruise line, but my experience has left me soured. I will not book again on Princess Cruise Lines.

Look over deck plan beforehand. Princess only had a blurry photocopy of deck plan to hand out.

if you are 80 then this ship is for you but if you are a young 70 then go on Norwegian where there is a younger crowd and more activities poolside. Trivia and bingo were the main events on the Grand. Evening entertainment was good.

Don't go if you are Black. The white staff treat you awful. While on vacation you don't need that kind of stress. I will never go on the Princess Line and will let friends know not to go.

If you like to hang out in your cabin or balcony, get a mini suite. If you like to always be out on the ship most of the time then other types of cabins would be fine

Be aware that you will need to be early to every activity or you may be left out. Get assigned dining. The lines for anytime dining were really long.
