Review summary

We were a group of friends (6 couples) traveling together for the first time. We had sufficient together and apart time to make the trip enjoyable and great fun. Everyone, even our 3 first time cruisers, had a great experience and made wonderful memories.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth sailing - the port crew was wonderful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We dined as a group of 12 most nights. Food was good but not superior - many dishes lacked seasoning - the plating and appearance was up to standards. The variety was excellent - a new menu each evening - chef specials and standards were always included. Our service team was top notch.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
If you could not find something to do at all times of the day - you were not trying. Great variety and good fun for all.

Casino

1 out of 5

We could not enjoy the casino - the smoke was just to strong. The ship need to make the casino NON-SMOKING like the rest of the ship.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The main stage and troup were wonderful - strong dancers and singers. The variety and strength of the main performers suprised us. The alternate entertainment venues had a steady stream of quality performers with enough variety for every passenger.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The main dining room staff was professional, efficient and friendly. Ariel and Raul were a great team. The ship personnel were always up beat, friendly and the team morale high.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Great room - clean and well maintain. However it was obvious it was well used. Minor repairs were overlooked, some corrosion on exterior doors, worn carpet, mini fridge was missing selves and door section. Bed was very good and very comfortable.

Ship tip

This is a big ship - the crew is well prepared for mobility issues - but be prepared to walk a good deal.

Ports of call

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
This is a tourist destination location - be prepared for some aggressive vendors - prices were for tourist and be prepared to negoitiate prices.

Manzanillo, Mexico

4 out of 5
The commercial shipping hub of western Mexico - not a tourist town - take advantage of the fact. Take a taxi to central Manzanillo and enjoy.

Mazatlan, Mexico

2 out of 5
A town for tourist - not very easy to get around without a taxi - both excursions we took were of poor quality. My wife's bus broke down - I got ripped off on a fishing charter.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
A small fishing village that blew up. It was nice to sea a quality rebuild after the city was almost destroyed by a hurricane a few years ago. Much larger waterfront than our previous visits - still do not like all the hawkers and aggressive vendors. I found the food and drink prices very high.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was well organized - quick and easy.
