Follow hallway on deck 15 to the very front, go through 2 doors & you end up on deck above bridge. Is closed off during rough weather.

If Balcony, try to reserve more aft (in #500's, 400's). The hallways were cooler than the 600's (but we cannot vouch for inside the actual staterooms)

The Vines wine bar is a great place for a great glass of wine and you get free sushi or tapas with a drink.

Not to take a 28 day cruise, if you enjoy line dance, zumba, or hula. They only have it so often on this cruise

The Emerald does not have hand washing stations outside the buffet, as of yet. Visit a restroom to wash before going, and then you can avoid eating with hand sanitizer on top of dirty hands ;) Seriously, this is the first ship I've been on that hasn't been retrofitted yet. I didn't realize how wonderful that feature was.

Make sure that you are guaranteed a glass railing if you book a balcony room. If you get a steel wall, view will be blocked when sitting in cabin or lying in bed and also when sitting on deck itself.

Bring manager with you. "No" is spoken often: "No", I can't check that for you, "No", we don't have Blue Berries, "No", you can not have O.J. with your eggs Benedict for brunch, "No", I' not supposed to clean your Balcony door or glass, "No", we don't have iced tea or lemonade at the cafe... Only expensive coffee or alcohol for you to buy, "No"' you can't ride your scooter on 2 of 4 excursions you bought, much less, get off the ship on our tender... "No", we don't have that jacket in Large... (They did, I got one the next day).
