We cruised Alaska Inside Passage on the Crown Princess. Decor in the piazza was centered around the Klondike gold rush (which I loved). Everything on the cruise was very well enjoyed and appreciated!

This ship needs attention soon! There was also smoke in one of the lights which was taken care of right away after alert was sent out

This was my first cruise experience and it made me want to cruise again. My cabin was always clean and I knew I could rely on Felix to help me out. The international cafe was always open and serving food. Mikal always made sure I had my nightly selection of fruit. I enjoyed my mornings of getting breakfast from the Horizon Court and then heading over to the fitness center to get in a workout, before going back to my cabin to get ready for the rest of the day.

At first, we were a little disappointed and did not know what to expect due the Ketchikan port cancellation and limited stay in Juneau. Once we were on the Ship, we felt that something wonderful and amazing was happening. The Cruise personnel, service and staff, went above and beyond to make our cruise great. Taking into consideration all of the COVID restrictions for the past two years and that the cruising industry was hit hard by it, Princess Cruises did an outstanding job. we highly recommend this Alaska Cruise to everyone. We are planning on our next cruise already.

This was our first cruise on Princess and it may be our last. We scheduled the cruise with the idea of seeing Alaska and we spent most of our time on the ship. The fact the Princess couldn't keep the itinerary that we based our booking on was very disappointing.

Great service, entertainment and food...but we are also very disappointed that they cancelled first Ketchikan and later Icy Strait Point. SHAME ON PRINCESS CRUISES!!!

Very disappointed, missed ports, late arrivals due to engine issues. The cruise I ended up on was not the cruise I had signed up for.

Princess cruise changed the itinerary 3 times and the last change was the day before embarkation. That messed up our plans and caused us to miss our excursion to Mendenhall glacier in Juneau and they skipped the port of Icy Strait Point. I feel like our once in a life time Alaska trip has been damaged a lot because of the sudden changes by the cruise line.

We decided to go on a cruise for our 25th anniversary. We chose the Crown Princess and this specific itinerary so we could experience the inside passage and Ketchikan, but both were cancelled in the days leading up to the cruise and we saw neither.

Princess is clearly short on cash. This ship is running on only one of two engines and Princess doesn't plan to fix it this season. The result is abbreviated itineraries, routing that takes you out to sea rather than through the inside passage, and shortened port visits. The value is significantly reduced. Also, there are visible signs of Princess being cash strapped right now: laundry facilities are out of order and not being fixed, for example. Consider choosing another ship for your trip to Alaska in 2022 and maybe even another cruise line.

So the food, beverages, cabins, service and everything on board rocked! Really terrific. But you cannot go on this cruise line because you arent there to ride a boat, you are there to visit ports of call and this is where the line failed miserably. The company sent everyone a letter to say the boat was BROKEN, engine not working right and we could not fulfill the full itineary that we bought. They told us this 4 days before sailing. We missed 1 port completely, arrived at one port so late we ended up with a 2 hour stay that cancelled out excursions and essentially 40% of the trip was spoiled. the key message here is that they are not transparent, not truthful, unreliable and overall you cannot trust them to deliver what they sell to you. Whatever you do, pick Holland or NCL if you really want Glacier Bay Park since those 2 lines also have certified access to the Park. Princess cruise lines is just not dependable and you cannot afford to have an untrustworthy service provider holding your money and having all the rights in the sailing contract and you are unable to fight back.

Overall a great time aboard the Crown Princess on an Alaskan cruise. The food and service were great and the sights were worth the trip. If you're looking for a relaxing and intro vacation/trip to Alaska, this is it.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of problems with the ship from engine failure which caused the ship to limp at half speed and had several port changes as a result which was disappointing. Also, there were plumbing problems. It was a very old crowd. There was not a lot to do on the ship and with the cold weather, couldn't use the pool or lay out on deck plus most of the on-deck activities were down or not useable due to the weather. Overall, it was ok. I wouldn't do an Alaska cruise again for another 10 or 15 years since I prefer the sun and beach plus the newer ships are a lot nicer. The cruise industry should build ships specifically for cold weather tours instead of using a ship designed for hot weather in cold weather environments.

The ship was not ready for sailing but Princess sailed anyway

We received an email 8 days before departure that the ship had major mechanical problems and could only go half speed. This changed everything. Long times at sea and very short time in ports. When we got to our room there was a notice that we would not go Juneau or Icy Strait. They gave us $100 and 20% FCC. Alaska is beautiful. Avoid the Crown!

Very disappointed and hurt after itinerary was changed 5 times before and after we were onboard. Also our best excursions were either changed or canceled altogether. Did not port at Juaneau one of the most important port. Only ported at two out of the four originally set. A lot of mine to stay on ship and eat. We could have done that at a hotel. My lifetime dream of an Alaskan cruise turned into a nightmare!! Never again Princess cruises!!!!

Our cruise on the Crown Princess was just phenomenal and the staff was excellent!

Pluses: Quiet and very nice fellow travelers. Excellent connectivity tech with the Medallion. Nice ports of call. Comfortable ship--decent size--not too small or too big. Very comfortable and quiet mini suite with the exception of the mattress. Satisfactory onboard activities ( the usual you find on most cruise ships). Generally friendly and capable staff. Satisfactory food but we rate it below some of the other cruise lines but this is a matter of personal taste. Great embarkation and debarkation process. Minuses: General level of communication from the Officer staff--Captain, Cruise Director, Maitre D, much lower ( muted) than the competition. This may be intentional but we missed the 'energy" one typically finds from many of these individuals. The food choices could have been better but we recognize that this is a First-world "problem". The party scene ( discos, deck part etc) was very low energy. The angry Head waiter, Emil, was an issue and the Captain should seriously investigate this individual's conduct since I otherwise can see some very irate passengers creating legal issues for Princess.

Nice ship. Love Club Class Dining. Food in DaVinci dining room was the Best we have had in a long time on a cruise ship.

A+, also, our travel agent, Kevin Davis, was helpful and cooperative.
