Celebrity Summit Cruise Reviews - Tips

Do not go on the Celebrity Line because if there is an issue as I encountered everyone is powerless to act. they will tell you to contact their travel partner which I did with over 5 emails and chat. The travel partner never responded. The only solution is no one should go on Celebrity and no one should work with American Airlines cruises. I can only imagine the same we cannot help you if there was a serious health emergency. From my view, do not cruise with Celebrity and do not do business with American Airlines cruises. I expect someone to contact me from both.

This is a great ship to take on an Alaskan cruise. It is on the smaller side of modern cruise ships, so able to get much closer to the natural wondress like the Hubbard Glacier than larger ships.

Celebrity Summit is it. Don't book else where!! We talked to few other folks took other cruises to Alaska and they said X Summit is the best one. From food quality to number of guests and staff ratio, can't beat it. They really keep that place like a 5 star hotel. From food to entertainment, we were just speechless.

Ask for the vegetarian menu at the Main Dining sit-down dinner. We didn't know it existed until the last night, and 6 or 8 of us are vegetarian!

Get the beverage package and wifi. You need the wifi to keep up on what's going on in the ship.

Don't waste the calories on any of the desserts in the Oceanview Cafe. Definitely try the hot chocolate at Cafe Albacio.

The Celebrity app does work, but it's clunky to use as is the website. It wasn't always very easy to find information - not intuitive. The Summit itself was great.

Take advantage of all the beautiful public spaces. There are so many and there are always open seats...including in the theater.
