Review summary

Alaska is a very beautiful land and it was enjoyable seeing the land and wildlife. Most of the ports were good, but the length of time in a few was too short.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth and well-ordered.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Very good food for the grand majority of the time in the dining area. Offerings in the buffet were good, but did seem to repeat a bit.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was fantastic. The dining room waiter and assistant waiter was also great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was good and the shower was better than other cabins.

Ship tip

Don't over pack. If you like soda, bring your own on board.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

Ketchikan, Alaska

Short stay really made sightseeing and exploring difficult. Not sure why two of the cities has such early departures. Took an excursion and had no time for anything else.

Sitka, Alaska

4 out of 5
Still a very early departure that could have been extended.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Nice port and had the time to do excursions and explore the sight in town.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

1 out of 5
A waste of a stop. This was just a tourist trap with possible money for the cruise line. Being on the ocean or having more time in the other ports would have been better.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

2 out of 5
Dock seemed more industrial and port was over 100 miles from Anchorage. Had to have additional transportation to get to the airport in Anchorage. This was not mentioned when reserving the cruise and added a significant "excursion" cost to the amount spent.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
The movement from the ship to buses to go to Anchorage Airport seemed a bit confused and there was a lack of communication.
