Overall, the experience was enjoyable. It was not our best cruise experience, as the ship was very old and the service (outside of our main waiter staff and stateroom attendant) was lacking. But, we did enjoy the limited items the ship had to offer.
Excellent experience. I must emphasize that the crew and staff is very nice to my special daughter and they considered much for her. My special daughter can not take regular food. Every meal, the staff, especially the kitchen, prepared her puree food carefully and thoughtfully. So my special daughter can enjoy this cruise like other normal kids.
I am so impressed the cruise vacation and we definitely take the celebrity cruise in next year. After Hurricane Maria hit the area, we are little disappointed with change of schedule but San Juan Airport worked well and specially thank you for free airport transfer.
If you're looking for a sophisticated, but, leisurely cruise experience, I recommend Celebrity Summit Eastern Caribbean! I met some of the nicest cruisers & dedicated, hardworking crew onboard this ship. Captain Kate McClure (sp?) was wonderful to her passengers and her crew's regard & trust in her abilities is evident everywhere. The ship's amazing crew, impeccable stage shows and productions, food, as well as cabin amenities, and cleanliness are commendable and made our vacation one we'll cherish for years to come.
We were looking forward to our cruise for a long time, but from the time we boarded and were sent to the buffet for lunch we could see this ship was not as nice as what we have been on in the past, the windows are dirty, the ship is dated looking, the buffet was crowded and no place to sit, the food was nothing exciting. The inside cabin was better than expected, the entertainment was very good, the staff tried to do a very good job with an old ship and limited items on menu, but overall we were pretty disappointed.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!! I can not begin to stress to you that booking in the Celebrity suite category will make your experience unbelievable. We booked the Celebrity Suite on the Celbrity Summit, but you can book any level of "SUITE" and still have the same experience as we did.
Excellent cruise but was disappointed with 6 days at sea and the loss of two ports from the original itinerary. Service was great, ports visited were fine. Entertainment was excellent but did not care for the Celebrity singers and dancers.
Everything on this ship is done to make our time fantastic. Excellent entertainment each night, wonderful food in the buffet and main dinning room, sauna in fitness center make our time unforgettable. My special thanks to Supel, our waiter in the main dinning room. With big smile he give us the food recommendation, bring food extremely fast with the same smile and good wishes. His pleasant attention to each guest make our dinner time double enjoyable. Keep doing the good job Supel...
We have been on other cruise lines. I would not recommend this ship. Princess cruise line beats this hands down on food, staff, activities, cleanliness & fun! Not to mention PRICE! My review choices average a 3 but as far as the ship I would maybe give it a 2!!
This was a very fun and at the same time relaxing cruise. There were more elderly folks than I had expected and they were great fun. Met lots of nice folks at dinner, great conversations. The highlight for me was the martini bar. Those guys really put on a great show and the drinks are delicious!
Bermuda is very lay back- not an exciting destination but since the ship remains anchored for 3 days, there is no need to rush getting off or returning to the ship. Individuals can take advantage of local restaurants or entertainment in port at night. IT's a great location for a rest/cure; as well. If you are recuperating from a hospitalization or you have mobility issues, this is a good destination and trip pacing which can accommodate your needs. The ship is a bit dull at night.
I really enjoyed my cruise on the celebrity Summit. I loved being an aqua class it was just a step up and it was very enjoyable. The cruise director was very good the entertainment was amazing the food was exceptional. The captain looked out for the welfare of the people on the cruise we had to Medical emergencies which were handled very well. I appreciate this greatly since I am a nurse and know how hard it is to juggle medical emergencies. Even when the weather was not great the cruise was still Pleasant fortunately I had no seasickness issues which is always a good thing.
