Celebrity Summit

Overview

Celebrity Summit belongs to Celebrity’s well-regarded Millennium class of ships. Debuting in 2001, Celebrity Summit sails 7 to 14 night Caribbean and Canada/New England itineraries from Cape Liberty, New Jersey and San Juan, Puerto Rico. While it lacks many of the bells and whistles of Celebrity’s Solstice-class ships, Celebrity Summit was revitalized in March 2016 with a Rooftop Terrace and upgraded dining options like Tuscan Grille, QSine and Blu and the always popular Crush Martini Bar.

Celebrity Summit is well suited for travelers looking for a more upscale, relaxing cruise experience than they’d find on Carnival, Norwegian or Royal Caribbean, thanks to its Canyon Ranch SpaClub, the Persian Garden, and extensive health and fitness programs. By day, the two outdoor pools on Celebrity Summit, one specifically targeted for families, offer fun in the sun. By night, passengers can enjoy production shows in the Celebrity Theater, try their luck in the Fortunes Casino or at bingo, or dance until the wee hours in the Revelations Lounge.

Celebrity Summit’s cabins and suites offer comfortable accommodations, amenities like a mini bar, 24-hour room service and twice daily service. A robe and tote bag are included. Guests can choose from inside, oceanview or balcony cabins. For those looking for a more spacious, upgraded experience, a selection of seven suite styles, each of which offers private butler service, access to the exclusive Michael’s Club lounge, Luminae restaurant and more.

good food and entertainment saved the day

Food and Entertainment about as good as we have seen in many cruises. Coordination and general knowledge of other personnel marginal. Embarkation and disembarkation poorly handled and way below anything we have ever experienced. Bayonne as a port doesn't seem to cut it. Don't think I would sail out of Bayonne again with Celebrity or anyone else for that matter. It's closer but poorly run. Also, the fact that Celebrity hid the holiday aspects of this week in Bermuda as well as the fact that they couldn't locate a previous sailing with Celebrity some years ago make us cautious about sailing with them again.

One of the worst cruises I have ever taken

As a guest that frequently cruise, I was very disappointed with this trip. I took this same trip three years ago and was terribly disappointed to experience how bad things had become. Also spoke with other guest who shared my dislike for the treatment we received on this cruise. Definitely not worth the money. I would not recommend this cruise. I feel terrible about the glowing recommendation I had given prior and hope my friends do not follow me planning this trip.

We had a wonderful time and highly recommend celebrity cruise line due to the respectful staff, well-maintained ship as well as the many forms of entertainment offered every night. There is never a dull moment on this ship! Even better with more friends and family to share the experience with.

Great cruise. This is our first time on Celebrity. Our cruise advisor Chris was spot on with this cruise. Thanks to the Celebrity crew they are awesome. Be prepared that the ride to Bermuda may be a little rough. Crossing the Atlantic is very cool.

We took this trip two years ago and the ship was in much better shape. The staff was nice but there was a large group of drunk twenty somethings that roamed the ship screaming through the hall. The staff seemed powerless to address them. it but a damper on the experience.

St Croix, very nice beach just off pier to the left. Walk past the clock tower and follow along the shore. When you hit the beach continue along till the small shack where you can rent chairs and umbrellas.
