Celebrity Summit Overview

Revolutionized in 2019, Summit takes Celebrity Cruises' modern luxury concept to the next level. Celebrity Summit isn't the line's newest or biggest ship, but it's a favorite among couples and first-timers seeking a premium cruise with destination-focused itineraries, gourmet restaurants, and high-quality entertainment.

Launched in 2001, Celebrity Summit is older, but the ship doesn't show its age. In March 2019, it became the second vessel to receive Celebrity Revolution upgrades as part of a $500 million fleetwide initiative. The refurbished ship features upgraded staterooms with expanded bathrooms, premium eXhale bedding, a comfortable layout, and ample storage. Passengers can enjoy daytime edutainment, hobby-related classes, reimagined restaurants developed by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, and world-class performances from the storied American Ballet Theatre on select voyages. From the amenities to the dining venues and public spaces, every part of the ship is designed for a premium cruising experience (without the luxury fares).

The refurbished Celebrity Summit sails from homeports in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Bayonne, New Jersey. Additional departures leave from Fort Lauderdale, San Diego, and Dublin, Ireland. Travelers are offered an abundance of cruises in the 7- to 10-night range with ports of call in Bermuda and the Caribbean, including Aruba, Curaçao, and Key West. If you're interested in longer itineraries, hop aboard for an extraordinary journey through the Panama Canal and Central America as you travel between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego. Summit also sails to New England, Canada, Iceland, and Greenland.

Fantastic, memorable Caribbean Cruise by simeonn

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Our first cruise, and we were not disappointed. For us, on a Caribbean cruise, and as Caribbean people, it helped us to reconnect on shores with people we hadn’t seen for a while. It was like “one stop shopping “...so much in 10 days. Thanks Celebrity Cruises.

Not the usual Celebrity Experience by nancykay123

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Family (older children)

Not the best cruise I have been on. The ship was grossly understaffed. You could tell many of the servers were tired and pulling double duty. I wish I would have checked where my cabin was located prior to sailing. I attempted to upgrade while on the cruise, but NO luck. I have a mediteranean cruise this summer and may consider alternativesl

Try to get a balcony then you can watch the stars!

St Croix, very nice beach just off pier to the left. Walk past the clock tower and follow along the shore. When you hit the beach continue along till the small shack where you can rent chairs and umbrellas.

Go to the back of the ship on the 10th floor, where you can sit outside in the morning and evening to eat. That was a great place to sit!
