Celebrity Millennium overview

Whether it’s a wellness workout at the full-service Canyon Ranch Spa and Fitness Center or a one-of-a-kind small-plate dining experience at Qsine, Celebrity Millennium's amenities exemplify the line’s reputation for innovation and luxury. With its ocean-inspired decor and sparkling indoor pool, the soothing Solarium provides an adults-only oasis for relaxation any time of day, while passengers looking for high-stakes entertainment should hit the ship’s state-of-the-art, smoke-free Fortunes Casino for an evening of gambling. For the kids, Millennium’s Fun Factory program provides activities and entertainment for ages 3 to 11, and teens can enjoy supervised but independent socialization at the ship’s X-Club

As the first ship to undergo the Celebrity Revolution modernization program, Celebrity Millennium was refurbished in February 2019 receiving a bow-to-stern upgrades. The transformation included new boutiques, redesigned staterooms, updated restaurants, and an enhanced spa area with exciting new features, such as a Turkish bath, salt therapy area, and an infrared sauna. The ship also received new suite-class amenities, including The Retreat Sundeck and The Retreat Lounge. To enhance connectivity, Millennium added advanced pervasive Xcelerate Wi-Fi throughout the vessel.

Celebrity Millennium itineraries and departure ports

Departing from Vancouver, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore, and Seward, Alaska, Millennium is the ideal ship for cruisers who want to travel to exotic lands. Asian itineraries range from 10 to 14 nights and sail to a wide variety of regions, including China, Vietnam, and a transpacific Bering Sea and Japan cruise. Millennium’s specialty itineraries include a Japanese explorers’ cruise, with ports of call in Kobe, Hiroshima, Tokyo, and Mt. Fuji, and a Southeast Asia holidays cruise, which sails over Christmas and stops in Singapore, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, and Hong Kong. Millennium's Alaskan glacier cruises feature 7-night voyages through the Inside Passage, with ports of call in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway.

Best for

With its selection of specialty restaurants, a full-service spa and fitness center, and a choice of exotic destinations, Celebrity Millennium is ideal for first-time cruisers looking to experience shipboard luxury at sea. Travelers who want a well-rounded first voyage will enjoy Millennium's traditional onboard activities, which include nightly stage performances, gambling at Fortunes Casino, and numerous unique bars and lounges.

You should know

Millennium aims for luxury and elegance and may not appeal to younger cruisers seeking high-octane activities. While the ship's selection of activities may have family appeal, the ship lacks the pulse-pounding amusement park-style attractions of many newer vessels.

Activities on Celebrity Millennium

Cruisers should have no trouble staying busy at sea on Celebrity Millennium. Travelers can stay active on the ship's fresh-air jogging track and top-deck basketball court, or relax poolside at the serene, adults-only Solarium. Avid shoppers will want to visit the ship’s Emporium, which has everything from sundries and Celebrity-themed merchandise to high-end Tahitian pearl jewelry. Among Millennium's choices for entertainment, select voyages offer exclusive performances by the American Ballet Theatre as well as dance classes for adults and children taught by troupe dancers. The ship also boasts a diverse selection of bars and lounges, including Cellar Masters wine bar and Rendezvous Lounge, where passengers can enjoy live entertainment every night.

The horrible medical staff handling of our Covid was awful and made this cruise a horror. The humidity was also terible but not the fault of cruiseline.

Loved Japan. But it's very hot and humid in September. If I go again it would be in November or April

This was an amazing way to see a lot of Japan. Our ship did have to reroute to the Typhoon, but actually made it so that we sailed completely around Honshu Island. by patavert

Get the Eggs Benedict, Shrimp Cocktail, and Cheesecake. Don't rely on the ship's computers; they're over-priced and unreliable. LIVE as much as you can on your balcony and soak up that scenery.
