Review summary

Perfect first time cruise and first time visit to Alaska.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Vancouver Terminal was spacious and had no problem accommodating the large crowd. The staff were friendly and numerous.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Buffet was always great. There were so many options to choose from. Everything was fresh and above average to excellent quality. The Main Dining Room food was also above average to excellent. The options seemed limited after everything on the buffet !

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Activities staff were energized, engaged, and fun to be around. There were small and large group options depending on your mood.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainers were all very talented and worked their butts off ! Not everything was to my taste but how could it be ? The theater was a great space. The seating was roomy and plentiful.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff and crew from the Captain on down were incredibly polite, made sure you were having a good time, and appreciative of your choosing Celebrity to vacation with. They also seemed to be cleaning and polishing every square inch of the boat 24/7. It felt like we were on Downton Abbey....nice !

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful. The design was very high end, calming, and classy. Only negative...I was surprised by how many fabric surfaces seemed stained, like the chairs and sofas. They stood out because everything else was so immaculate ( including the high traffic carpet areas).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was beautiful. Didnt mind inside at all. The bed, sheets, and pillows were excellent.

Ship tip

Take advantage of all the beautiful public spaces. There are so many and there are always open seats...including in the theater.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Beautiful, so much to see and do.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

1 out of 5
We were fogged in the whole day. Couldnt see the railings on deck let alone the mountains we were passing by.

Ketchikan, Alaska

3 out of 5
Landscape was beautiful, Lumberjack show was wonderful, the town was rundown and overcrowded ( with us!)

Sitka, Alaska

4 out of 5
St Michael's Russian Orthodox Church was great. The Native Alaska Tour was low budget but sweet. Good shops in town with unique souvenirs.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
Mendenhall Glacier and waterfalls were jaw droppingly beautiful. The Gold Creek Salmon Bake was great. The picnic type food was plentiful and really good and the setting was what you want Alaska to be, woodsy old school fun.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
Favorite port on the whole cruise. Icy Strait was mostly nature...beaches, whales, woods, eagles, etc. Again, it felt like what you want Alaska to be. The Gondola ride to the top of the adjacent mountain was insanely high. Glad I did it...but couldnt pay me enough to do it again !

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
We were supposed to be there for an hour. It was all fogged in and not visible the whole time. The Captain let us stay an hour or two longer before giving up and heading out. On our way back to sea he announced we were turning around and going back. The fog had lifted ! Hubbard was visible and we all got our pictures and video memories after all ! Thank you Captain. It made it seem like the guests good experience was a priority.

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

4 out of 5
Were only in Seward long enough to catch the bus for Anchorage. What a dump that was. Drug addicts, prostitutes, and dealers around almost every corner. I forgot that it has one of the highest violent crime rates in the whole U.S. Praying for better days ahead for Anchorage ?

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were getting off an American Ship in America so we just walked right off into a gravel parking lot. The simplicity was kind of funny. No real taxi or public transport services to Anchorage from there. Make sure you pre-book something ahead of time. We took a GORGEOUS bus ride to Anchorage.
