Review summary

This was our first ocean cruise. We liked that the ship wasn't gigantic. I don't think I would cruise a 6000 person ship. The Summit was a perfect size. Large enough to have a lot of options, but not too big or crowded. We loved that our ship always seemed to have the premium port dock. I could look out my window at it every morning and it made it so easy to access port activities and easily get back to the ship for all aboard. The Solarium warm water pool was the best pool ever! We loved that area. Our staff was great. We loved the main dining room and that our staff knew what we liked. Sushi on 5 was terrific! Other than the app and website being clunky, we were really satisfied with our trip. We would recommend this voyage on the Summit to Alaska for sure.

Onboard Activities

Spa, dance classes, theatre, live musicians, the Solarium warm water pool was the best pool ever.

Entertainment

The professional acrobats in one show were unbelievable.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My kids used the teen room all the time and met friends.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was so professional

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We have no complaints.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Always clean, the bunk beds worked out well. Loved the large window and refrigerator. Main bed was very comfortable.

Ship tip

The Celebrity app does work, but it's clunky to use as is the website. It wasn't always very easy to find information - not intuitive. The Summit itself was great.

We loved Hoonah. You interacted with locals who could really educate you about living in Alaska.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
Going out on the helipad to take in the glacier was a highlight of the trip. The slow circles of the ship so you got several opportunities to really look at everything was awesome!

Thank you for sharing! We also enjoyed the ship and the fact that it was smaller than most.
