Review summary

We loved our 7 day cruise out of Vancouver. We added on the 4 day inland post-cruise extension to Denali and really enjoyed both the land and sea portions of the itinerary. This was our first visit to Alaska and we had incredible weather... clear, warm (60's-70's) weather in all except 1 day on the trip. This is very unusual, but if the weather was always like this, it truly would be paradise here.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Easy embarkation, but needs better signage in the Vancouver Convention Center where we embarked. it was rather confusing where to go for security after checking in with Celebrity.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and service was consistently excellent in the Blu Restaurant (Aquaclass Passengers).

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The entertainment was varied and high quality. We loved the musicians and the onboard Naturalist and Cultural Advisors were absolutely amazing. The activities for younger passengers and children seemed pretty slim.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
Did have children's program, but simply can't compare to some of the larger shops variety.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Consistently excellent service everywhere on the ship

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Easy to navigate the ship's layout. The only negative was the difficult access to thevspa for the Aquaclass passengers (on opposite ends of the ship so had to go outside or through the buffet to access).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice layout, comfortable, and modern (fully updated in I believe 2019).

Ship tip

This is a great ship to take on an Alaskan cruise. It is on the smaller side of modern cruise ships, so able to get much closer to the natural wondress like the Hubbard Glacier than larger ships.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Loved Vancouver. Beautiful city with friendly people.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

5 out of 5
Beautiful if you love mountain landscapes. Similar to Norway and Chile

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
Nice introduction to Alaska when sailing from Vancouver

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
Highly recommend the visit to the Fortress of the Bear and Raptor Recovery Center.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Loved the Glacier helicopter flight and dogsled ride.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
Enjoyed a beautiful sunny day while strolling to the town of Hoonah

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
Beautiful as we navigated close to the ice flows. We had a bright clear day to view the glacier.

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

4 out of 5
Visit the aquarium. Worth the time

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Simple, well organized disembarkation.

You did it right adding on your trip to Denali. We have been on 2 Alaskan cruises and just flew out to Anchorage. Would have been a little easier I think to do on a cruise. Smart cookies! Lucky on the weather. Thanks and glad you had a great time.

Wonderful. We’ve always had good weather too. But bear in mind …. The tundra needs cooler weather
