Fantastic scenery on a lovely ship. The customer service was top-notch.

Food and Dining

There was a wide variety of food. We enjoyed our Main Dining dinners. The pasta bar was slow and not worth the wait (the marinara tasted weird). The Indian buffet was great though.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We loved the activities--trivia contests, arts and crafts, bocce, karaoke. Our favorite part of at-sea days!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We loved the shows every night!
Children's Programs
My kids elected not to participate--the facilities were small and bare-looking.

On the small side, but well-appointed. The shower was large enough and had good pressure. We had a king bed and then 2 twin bunks that folded down on top of the king bed on either side.
Ship tip
Ask for the vegetarian menu at the Main Dining sit-down dinner. We didn't know it existed until the last night, and 6 or 8 of us are vegetarian!
We loved our sled dog summer camp excursion! We did the aerial tram thing to the top of the mountain by ourselves (cheaper than booking through the cruise--you could very easily walk to it from the dock) and were very pleasantly surprised at the views and the cultural presentation at the top.
Not much infrastructure. The cannery exhibit was embedded in a gigantic gift shop. The scenery was grand. If you can afford a shore excursion here, this is probably the best way to spend the day. As we did not, we spent about 30 minutes walking around the dock shops and then enjoyed onboard activities.
Such a quaint historic village easily walkable from the cruise dock. The Bering Sea fishing boat expeditions was absolutely amazing! Scores of bald eagles came soaring down to scoop up the fish that the crew threw from the ship. Once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Beyond easy! We waited in line less than 5 minutes and walked off the boat. Our larger suitcases were waiting in the terminal for us. We needed an earlier disembarkation time due to the transfer we had booked, and Guest Services were very accommodating.
Thanks for your review. Glad you enjoyed your cruise. Alaska is our #1 cruise destination too, especially when hurricanes wreak havoc in the Caribbean each summer.
