Had great expectations, had cruised last year on Celebrity and it was wonderful. We expected, since it weas the newest addition to the fleet, the ship to be exceptional in all aspect. Of course, it is beautiful thanbks to the high quality of the furniture and decor, although the Royal Carribean line ships are out of this world flamboyant. Our biggest deception was the food either in the Cafeteria or at night - in the cafeteria we found the variety of the meals lacking, it was almost always the same foods with little variations. At night, was our biggest disappointment, on all the 10 cruises I have done I would rate it the poorest. It is the first time in all my cruising that I had to return the food (3 times), either it was served cold or was of very poor quality, especially the lobster night, I love lobsters and it was so bad, I had one mouthful and stopped eating. I didn't even want to have it changed! The variety was so lacking, the appetizers were very ordinary and we found a lot of food always some form of cheese in it!!!! The dining room staff was also lacking in friendliness, it kept changing, may be because we had choosen the select dining which we believe was a mistake. We thought we could dine at our leisure, at any time we wanted etc. No, we had to make reservations every night and we never got the same table, we kept moving around in the dining section of the "select dining". If we did not show up at the time (6:15) every night, we were either put in a corner with a view of the wall because we were 5 in our group!!!! Also, it is the first time that the beds are changed every 4 days only. We were 3 in our staterooms, one of us using the sofa bed. In any of the other cruise I took, whenever we were 3 in the room (my grandson, my daughter and myself), they always made the sofa bed every day so we could enjoy sitting on the sofa to play, watch TV etc. On this cruise, whey never made the sofa-bed, it was always a bed, and the changing only every 4 days was also a disappointment especially since my sister in law and my niece were sick the first 2 days of the cruise, swetting and vomiting, we would have appreciated a change of linen. When we asked about it, we were told it would be done in 2 more days only, it was the policy! WOW! I have never see this on any other cruise ships.

This was our first cruise on the Equinox and I would definitely travel on this ship again. The crew was amazing and the shipboard activities and amenities were great.

the ship did not live up to our expectation. most people we talked to had the same general opinion. the ships crew seemed to be in a state of orientation having just come from europe.

A fantastic experience! Like always, Celebrity seemed to go the extra mile to make sure our cruise experience was wonderful. We would highly recommend Aquaclass with the perks it offers. We especially enjoyed dining in Blu a specialty restaurant for the Aquaclass.

the ship was a bit large for me, too much waiting in line to check in etc. However the help was GREAT and the ship was very clean

This is the first time we have been on a repositioning transatlantic cruise. Most of the cruises we had seen did not have the variety of ports that this one had. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room steward and assistant were very attentive and conscientious. The food was excellent and we had the best entertainment that we had experienced on a cruise, with a couple of exceptions. It would have been helpful to know about public transportation options at each port. Although the cruise is in business to make money, we felt "used" when we over-paid for shore excursions, especially those that only took us to the town from the port.

We took this trip with another couple. We had to turn our bags over to Celebrity Cruise Line before boarding the ship. During the time our bags were in their possession, our friend had his new ipad stolen from his bag. It even had his name engraved on it. Celebrity said they are not responsible for such things, and they would not let our friend report it to the police. There are cameras recording every move we make. I'm sure that the person who stole that ipad has to be on tape somewhere. Also, one of my husband's bags was lost after being turned over to Celebrity. We were told an APB was put out, ship-wide, and that all stewards were to be looking for that bag. THREE DAYS LATER, our cabin steward called to say that the women in the cabin RIGHT NEXT TO US had the bag. Even though the women had removed the personal tags with our name and address on it, they left on the airline tag that had my name printed on it. We had shown our matching bag to our steward from the start, so why didn't our steward notice the bag in the next cabin over if anyone was truly looking for it? My husband wore the same shirt and jeans for four days in a row and all that Celebrity did was offer him a couple of white t-shirts. He had a suitcase full of under garments....it was CLOTHES that he was lacking. While I know that those ladies pulled that bag into their cabin, fully aware that it was not theirs, I also feel like Celebrity should have done something about the problem of my husband having no clothes. Those women clearly were hoping to get something of value from that suitcase, but once they realized it was only men's clothing, and of no use to them, they suddenly "discovered" it was not theirs after more than three full days. This was our third cruise, and the seventh for our friends, but it was the first time any of us have ever cruised with Celebrity. We have never had any trouble on any of our cruises before. It's our first and last time to cruise with Celebrity. Holland America is much more interested in their customers, and we will only cruise with them from here on out.

This was our first Celebrity cruise although we have been on many cruises, most with Royal Caribbean and we were excited to finally try Celebrity. We were very impressed and pleased. I am not sure if it had to do with the location, the timing of the cruise, or length of cruise, but we found the other cruisers to be more "professional" if I can use that term. It was not just a "party" ship but it was still fun. It was nice to meet others who have cruised to many locations and to share stories and learn from them as well. The cruise director was very good, always with a smile on his face, always stopped to say hello or greet me if I walked past. The entertainment was top notch, very impressed with the quality and talents of the dancers. Overall, this was one of my better cruise experiences.

New and Fresh ship, very modern. No Promanade Deck. A couple of "wasted spaces, such as the Wine Cellar venue and Wiskey Bar...nobody seems to use those. No Piano Player???..most cruise ships have an inter-active sing-along piano bar venue, but not this one.

Great ship. Great Ports. What more could you ask for?

The Celebrity Equinox is a beautiful ship, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the sitting areas are great. What is not so great is that the average age of the passengers is 60+ so all of the entertainment is geared to a much older audience. The food in the dining rooms is very ordinary and quite disappointing compared to Princess or Carnival. If you are under 50 and want a fun trip then select a different cruise.

Each ship we have sailed has been bigger than the one before. With Equinox, we have reached our limit. We will scale back to smaller ships even if price is higher. The on-board experience (Equinox is a great ship!) was nowhere as much fun as earlier cruises where we made many personal connections on board. We made ONE connection on this trip and that started on the transportation TO the ship :(

The ship was well laid out. The staff had ongoing activities all day and night. I found the ship's temperature, as I do all ships, too cold and I constantly had to wear a warm jacket. the staff was very helpful. Ship's food was a little disappointing as we had come to expect more from Celebrity.

Everything was brilliant, shiny and clean, like a brand new cruise.

The Equinox really exceeded all our expectations. While it is a huge ship, it didn't seem that way at all. The service was first rate and personal. The staff went out of their way to take care of us.

WOW! What a vacation.....huge ship with all the amenities but the staff and service always made you feel special. Everything from the shows to the excursions and all the ship's activities were exceptionally well planned and orchestrated. Tons of restaurants and bars...we LOVED the Martini bar and getting an all inclusive beverage package made things really easy! Our stateroom and balcony was roomier than the last Holland America cruise we took and it was kept spotless. Our next cruise will definitely be with Celebrity!
