fabulous cruise by toddyanne

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ports of call were amazing. But it was the staff that made the cruise even better. The cruise director, Mike, got everyone involved. His energy level was do high you couldn't help but duplicate it. The wait staff were wonderful. They remembered what you liked to drink and any special requests you had had. The steward was very friendly and helpful. The barista at the coffee bar was better then Starbucks! Then entertainment staff were amazing. Everyone was just so friendly!

Highly recommend by Thom

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first time on Carnival and the Glory and not the last. The crew treated us like old friends and made the cruise so much more amazing. The shore excursions were easy to get to and from ship which made for an even more hassle free adventure. The food in the dining room was excellent the portions were a little small but that was OK as well, saved room for desert. We had dinner one night in their Steakhouse and the Filet was melt in your mouth perfect. The ports of call were absolutely splendid. Definitely a must do. There was never a dull moment on board either. They are definitely the fun ships.

Escaped the Hurricane by howie2502

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Although the impending hurricane forced us to take another direction with stops we had already visited we were delighted to simply relax and enjoy the activities on the ship. The food was excellent, the crew helpful and entertaining and the onboard activities were exceptional.

We had a wonderful experience by RosaneMackler

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had a wonderful time. We had a group of 12 people and everybody was very happy. Everything worked so fast. We didn't have to stay in lines for a long time and we always had a place to sit down and feel comfortable and eat. Our waiters in the dining room were so funny and made our experience ten times better. Every single person who worked there were always friendly and polite. We have absolutely nothing to complain about. We adore the cruise and plan on coming back next year.

informe by egerdel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

En cuanto al crucero en si puedo decirles lo siguiente;

Atentamente,

Ernesto Gerdel

I booked with you. And made me confirmation for Carnival Glory day June 27 for travel from 15 to 22 August. I booked in the stateroom level 8 and so they confirmed you. the number in 8445, according to the record that I have in my possession. When embarking however, they sent me two lower levels, stateroom I Claim 6473. the authorities of the boat but was told it was a problem of you. And I indicated that I communicated with Mr. Shawn Andrews. I did by telephone and told me to send him an email, so far not me replied. I consider it a lack of seriousness on the part of your company which undoubtedly not only hesitate to hire again, but if you do not solve what divulge among my friends, most of them very affected to cruises and also by all means in my scope, facebook, tripadvisor, etc. As for the cruise if I can tell you this; 1) There was a problem with the death of a woman who fell into the water and caused a delay of only two hours and it prevented us from visiting the islands of Grand Cayman that was what we had more interest. I believe that this does not justify miss a scheduled place, for lack of time because it was replaced visit Cozumel again. The compensation of $ 50 per person for this omission is ridiculous. 3) there was an invitation to a cocktail party with the captain but drank something we had to pay. That is an invitation to a cocktail.? It is the first time it happens on all cruises we have done. We talked and we replied that it was company policy. In this case, invited to a meeting with the Captain, not a cocktail. 4) The onboard service, food, and the staff was very good and we are very satisfied I hope your answer

A woman Killed herself by triplets21

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

A woman killed herself while my family and I was on our cruise. Though I feel for the family I am not happy that all I got back was $50 and 25% off the next cruise. I still have nightmares from seeing them pull her dead body out of the ocean.   I cannot say that I plan to sail back with Carnival may try Royal Caribbean therefore the 25% will not benefit me. We never got to go to the  Grand Cayman.

In Spite of the Death on the boat by vianirving

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I would like to say that the boat was clean, the boat was comfortable, the boat had staff that were accommodating for the crew. The food was good, but the service was super fast in a way that you were wondering if you were there to experience a meal or were you being whipped through the dinner to get the next group of people behind you. The people were nice and were there to do a job, but the activities were ordinary. I have compliment the service of my cabin steward, my dinner staff, and the casino tables, they all were pleasant but it doesn't take but a few people to really give you a lack luster experience, but the faults was not on the staff, the fault is on the cruise line, these people are working too long hours and not enough rest, you can see it on their faces. If I can see the same person at breakfast. lunch and then around 11pm at night that person is working too long of hours. I can say these people work for their money but the gratuity they receive is pennies compared to what they should be compensated.  I would like to commend the entire ship for the incident where the lady committed suicide and jumped overboard. I had a career in the Navy and the effort that the entire ship took to retrieve the body of a passenger was outstanding. There were 5ft seas and if you have never been in a small boat with 5ft. seas you would appreciate the effort that was taken to bring that body back to the boat.  Leaving the boat was a nightmare, we stood in line for 30 minutes retrieving the liquor for the boat (it didn't take them that long to take my money it shouldn't take that long to get my product). The line to disembark was unorganized, the administration on the boat did not think ahead of handling tough situations. I would rate the overall experience a 2.8 out of 5. The poor compensation of $50.00 was not enough to cover the disappointment and missed opportunities of enjoying the Grand Cayman Islands. I am not impressed with my cruise it was all downhill after the suicide.

Death on the High Seas by chooseanother

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I booked a cruise for me and my two children ages 10 and 16.  We were having a great time until a woman committed suicide by jumping off the ship.  After a horrific recovery of her body, that was viewed by all aboard ,Carnival offered a $50 credit and a small discount off of a future cruise (basically you have to pay them more $$$ to get any "compensation").  We never arrived at our final port destination of Grand Cayman and, to top off the lack of consideration to their "guests", if you booked an excursion through anyone other than Carnival, all they offered was $1.99 toward a phone call to ask your tour guide for a refund.  I will never cruise with Carnival again and have already told all of my friends and family to choose another line.

Cruise would have been perfect if less children running around ship unsupervised by malcindor

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall our experience was a good one. It would have been much better if children on the cruise would have been supervised a little more closely as there was a lot of running up and down hallways and banging on walls. Also, I feel there should be separate evening entertainment for children. There were many large groups of families on this cruise and their children took over the Karaoke on most nights. It would also be nice if guests in cabins with overhead galley were warned as there was a lot of banging and noise throughout the night making it impossible to get sleep.

Frustrated Birthday!!! by karladelgado40

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My family and I enjoyed this cruise very much, but were very disappointed that we were not able to visit the last port of call, "Grand Cayman" due to the incident that happened and to make matters worst, on my birthday. I know it's not the ships fault but never the less it was a very shocking incident.  Also, the rescue efforts were very lacking. I couldn't believe that we had to turn the ship around, they need to have a small boat with a fast motor that is lowered down when something like this happens.

Had a wonderful time by eburchall

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Yes the Glory is older than a lot of the others, but it is a wonderful vessel, the buffet wasn't the best, but it was OK, our room (suite) was amazing the in room cleaning staff was great.

I was not able to use the pool, for it was always full.

Oh! the Spa Staff, was top of the line (most of the money we spent on the ship was in the Spa),

Wonderful vacation!! by IslandGirl3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My family has been on 11 cruises, and I have to say that the GLORY did not disappoint!  It might be an "older" ship, but you would never know it!  In fact, I think this was one of the nicest boats we've been on.  The staff, as always, works so hard to make your stay perfect.  The food was by far the best that I've ever had on any of our cruises - I feel like they've really made an effort to provide even more choices, including "Port of Call" meals that are native to each stop on your itinerary!  Guy's Burger joint was also unbelievable...best burgers I ever ate!  The itinerary we had (Miami, Cozumel, Belize, Honduras, Grand Cayman) was unreal! My family has been all over the Caribbean, but this year we wanted to try something new.  So glad we did!!  These are just as beautiful, if not more so, than your typical Caribbean destinations (St. Thomas, Barbados, Aruba, etc.)  Finally...I felt like this was the first time we've never had to deal with "lines".  Everywhere we went - dining facilities, getting on/off the boat at ports, to the embarkation/debarkation process... everything went so smoothly!  I was completely satisfied with our trip on the Carnival Glory!

AWESOME CRUISE ON THE CARNIVAL GLORY by docroeder

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My son and I had the best experience on our Carnival Glory Cruise to Western Caribbean. The entertainment, activities, food, the service etc etc was amazing.  I even booked all my offshore excursions via in each port that were the best by far.  I was initially worried about them and how it would all pan out with Carnival, but we had no problems at all.  In fact, the excursions were top notch and even better than the equivalent booked with Carnival with the financial savings was a bonus.  Our excursions were more private or smaller groups which allowed for more fun and personal time in each excursion.  I will do it this way again in the near future.  Thank you.

Ship needs a serious upgrade by kdweakley

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I obviously didn't read the reviews closely enough, because I was appalled at the condition of this ship. Common areas were dirty and unkept, there was RUST everywhere. If you are interested in an upgraded ship with enhanced amenities this is not the ship for you. I will definitely research much better for my next vacation.Angry

Great but need some work by yeseniatejas1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I had amazing time on my cruise but there could've been improvements made to make it better. I like the sail and sign cards but there was only TWO stations on my cruise.... There was more than 1000 people, that seems ridiculous. If you're going to use the cars for EVERYTHING there should be more stations and way more than two people working at the customer service booth. That like was horrific.
