Recommend Quantum of the Seas. Take the trip earlier than September to enjoy the glaciers

don't book an aft area room as it is a walk from the elevator. Next time I would book starboard instead of port as we never had a view of the port we were docked at. Get the key! Do jaime's every night! Expect small drinks. Book excursions though shipmate or at port. Try the solarium bistro for dinner one night. It's free, but you have to reserve. Don't buy purses or watches, cheaper online for the same thing!

Make sure the ship's engines are working well, so itinerary doesn't need to be changed.

Consider bringing a lanyard to wear the cruise card. It is needed for almost everything and shouldn't be lost or misplaced.

Enjoy everything we did. go whale watching it was Amazing we saw lots of whales visit the glacier we also went bear watching in a rain forest we saw a bear loved ever minute of our cruise

Book excursions early and expect cancellations! Watch the prices because they jump quickly. Cancel and rebook IF the price goes down but only if there are plenty of spots available.

It may seem like extra, but well worth it..... Purchase the Drink Package and the "Key" option. The Key will give you special seating at the shows, as well as a great experience embarking and disembarking.

Make sure hot tubs & the food is hotter for guest, this is imperative.

If you want to see Glaciers this is not your ship. To big to approach that area use some of Royals smaller ships. The only way on this itinerary to see a glacier is a cruise excursion and you only have a chance to see Mandellhall Glacier.

Be prepared for changes - shore excursions and/or itinerary changes. Royal Caribbean was a logistical nightmare for someone that likes to plan ahead.

Figure out how you want to communicate with your family/friends ahead of time. If you're not paying for texting, you'll have issues keeping up with everyone. I did miss the free "wave phones" offered by Disney.
