Review summary

Really missed being able to take the White Pass Railroad excursion in Skagway, due to the engine not functioning at full capacity.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Waited in lines for hours

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent, whether in main dining room or buffets

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the walking track on deck 15. Enjoyed activities, especially the trivia and bumper cars.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Music for stage shows was way too loud; it would have been helpful to have a program to enjoy the stage shows better. Individual musicians were much better!!!

Children's Programs

No children along

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff were respectful, gracious hosts who made us feel at home in the dining area, or in our rooms.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean and well maintained. Too big of a ship for me. I prefer smaller ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room was great. First experience with virtual balcony, and really enjoyed it!!

Ship tip

Make sure the ship's engines are working well, so itinerary doesn't need to be changed.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
Loved Seattle area, stayed 2 days before and 2 days after. No excursions

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
We loved walking around and visiting the totems in Ketchikan. No excursions.

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
Loved walking around and experiencing Sitka... No excursions

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Loved exploring Juneau, hiking and going up the tram. No excursions.

Victoria, British Columbia

3 out of 5
Too little time, at the wrong time of day to be able to do much. Walked along the pier to the lighthouse. NO excursions.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It was better than the embarkation, because we were in no hurry, and waited as long as we could to leave the ship.

I think the railroad wasn't functioning due to landslides in the area.

Glad you enjoyed your Alaskan cruise. Understand your feelings about too many people and too big of a ship.
