Review summary

Cruise was great once we got on the ship. Wasn't happy with the itinerary change due to engine issues. Didn't get to cruise the glaciers or visit Skagway. Ports also seemed kind of rushed as a result. But overall we had a great time.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Long lines, but moved fairly quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room was cramped, but food and service were excellent.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Lots of things to do, but we weren't too adventurous. We did try the North Star, which was fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the shows were great although they could have turned the volume down and I would have enjoyed them more.

Children's Programs

Didn't travel with children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service and staff were awesome!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was one of the biggest I've been on so prepare for lots of walking. Most areas do not have windows out to the water, which was kind of disappointing. But loved the 270 lounge.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was large and spacious with a large window out the front of the ship.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Ketchikan, Alaska

Sitka, Alaska

The town itself is very small and about a 15 minute shuttle ride in. The lines were ridiculous to catch the shuttle in to town and even worse to get back to the ship. I hear it's not as bad earlier in the season, but a lot of the drivers they hire are college students who had already returned to school before we arrived so they were short handed.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Loved this port. Lots of shopping and an excellent whale watching excursion with Alaska Tales.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy.
