My advice for others is to book excursions, specialty dinners, spa services, and special activities early. They offer the ability to book through their app, but we found a few were already filled or sold out when we tried.

If your going for the food they are either under staffed in kitchen so everything cold when served or Too many passengers for ability to have warm meal arrive to dining table or maybe understaffed????? Dont go on this ship if you want a nice dining experience in dining room. Many guests I met were disappointed in the food as well..

Be ready to enjoy and walk a lot !

Splurge on specialty restaurants it is worth it! Get a balcony cabin the views in Alaska are worth the money.

dont expect it to be that much better than just sailing on a smaller older ship.

When in the Windjammer get your food and instead of TRYING to find a table close to the food, head to the back of the ship. We found several empty tables, quiet from all the bustling, and even tables outside to enjoy your meal.

Book shore excursions early or can book some independently or some were at ports of the pier that you could do. We did self driving jeep tour in Juneau, was well done and enjoyed ourselves with the 4 hr time given.

Make certain that there’s no Amway group of 800 Asians on your ship. They were rude, abrasive, and all over the ship and the ports taking pics and occupying everyone else’s space!

Nice big ship; has good facilities; for kid activities; comfortable rooms; great staffs.

While the ship never really feels crowded, the venues do fill up surprisingly early. Shows, trivia, games, bingo, all of it filled up with no seats left so do get to anything you'd like to do uncommonly early.

Look up the meal menus ahead of time for dining and for the themes of the buffet nights, in case there is a type you are hoping for. A family member constantly grumbled to me about not realizing they missed the night when they were offering Indian cuisine.

figure out where everything is, the ship is tough to navigate...walk it all on day 1.

bring your walking shoes.

There is no place to play board games but everything else was amazing!

Schedule the free iFly and other activities the second you get onboard or you will have to do what I did and pay hundreds of dollars for the activities when they are not free.

Don't use a travel agency to book your cruise. If anything goes wrong, the travel agency will claim it's the cruise's fault and the cruise will claim it's the travel agency's fault, and they'll continue blaming each other to get out of actually fixing the problems they made.
