Review summary

Such a wonderful trip! The staff was amazing! If not for lack of places to play board games and no activities specifically for 18-20 year olds I would give it five stars! We had a blast!! We love Alaska!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We got in line to board but realized we had to get out of line to check in our luggage. It wasn’t clear.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room was a little slow and not so good the first two nights. After that it was amazing!!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We loved all the activities.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment was good. All that money spent and talent in shows without a good story. If any had a decent story it would have been a five!

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
My fifteen year old had a blast! I was frustrated for my eighteen year old son. He wasn’t allowed to join the teens. He doesn’t drink of course. There was one activity on the fifth day for 18-20. He was the only one who showed up.

Amazing

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The ship was clean. The problem with the layout is this: there is no place to play games in the evening! Every evening after shows we wanted to play board games. In the solarium there were about 30 people trying to play cards on little circle tables. They even tried putting two circle tables together! Other people were complaining that there was no place to do their projects. Every place we went we got kicked out because of an event. We finally ended up in the small bar by 270. We don’t drink and it was pretty dark but it was the only table big enough to play a board game. I suggest you put 6-8 long tables opposite the smoking area that doesn’t close down. People would be there all night playing games and working on their projects!!! If you want to call me I can tell you more about our frustration in finding a place. We moved multiple times. 9168933557

The Alaskan cruises are usually geared toward an older demographic, so I'm surprised there were kids' activities at all.
