Overall Food in dining room was terrible. Not sure if its RC or too large of ship with too many passengers, short on staff or dining kitchen staff that has a bad system???? Not a single meal arrived even warm. Also disappointed as a single mom with 17 year old son this Royal Caribbean cruise did not place us at dining table with other single moms and teenagers. That was our experience on our carnival cruises which was a huge perk dining with other moms and teenagers instead of sitting at 2 seater table by ourselves. I rate the food in dining room a 0 and we are not hard to please with dining experience. Expect food temperatures to arrive as they should and not everything cold like its sat out for hours. Worst food experience I have ever had on a cruise.

Dining room staff wonderful.... We are not picky eaters but food was disappointing. Not a single meal in the week arrived to our table even warm. The only thing I had all week hot was french onion soup everything else I had was cold. Breakfast scrambled eggs were not fully cooked on a single day. My son saw someone sneeze at buffet so would not eat there. The only food on ship that was dependable was the Pizza. Again, we are not picky eaters not sure if ship had too many passangers to handle meals or if short on staff so we will never go on cruise ship this large again. We will stick to half this size to avoid terrible meals. Ive been on a dozen plus cruises since my 20s and am now late 50s. Every cruise I have ranted and raved about the food. This is the only cruise Ive ever been on that the food was lousy outside of the fresh made hot pizzas.

Ship layout was nice. No complaints. Not sure how clean it was. I think my son got covid on the ship because I started a headache Friday at end of trip and after traveling home Saturday on Sunday I had headache, chills, fever, body aches and tested positive for covid.

Size of room nice. Liked the glass shower instead of curtain. Liked the balcony. Our cabin man kept our room very nice, tidy and clean every day. Loved the towel animals.
Ship tip
If your going for the food they are either under staffed in kitchen so everything cold when served or Too many passengers for ability to have warm meal arrive to dining table or maybe understaffed????? Dont go on this ship if you want a nice dining experience in dining room. Many guests I met were disappointed in the food as well..
My son did not like because we walked from Hyatt Olive 8 hotel to pike market area and rampant drug use in open on a couple streets. These streets smelled like urine. Sad Im sure lots of homeless on these streets. We had exceptional dinner after we got off the ship. We are not picky, food just needs to taste like it has not been sitting out all day and it should arrive at proper temperature for all parts served.
Very nice but unfortunately our excursion that we booked with CruisesOnly was cancelled. We managed to book the same excursion on the ship but that got cancelled too when we arrived on dock. On dock they gave us a few alternatives and we booked the dog sled without the helicopter or glacier. It was a nice excursion but not sure how I felt about all the dogs tied up the way they were. I dont mind dogs working but when they had to sit out in pouring rain to give us a ride I felt like this might not have been the right way to work them.
My favorite stop. We did the railway scenic tour. Highly recommend. Best part of our trip scenic and relaxing. Walked around Skagway after and loved it.
We booked excursion with Cruises Only and did not find out until we arrived that our excursion was cancelled. I checked every whale watching outfit in Victoria and all were booked. Very disappointed that instead of refunding and not knowing since we had no internet that Cruises Only did not book us same with someone else which might have been available before we arrived. Cruises Only did not refund the $50 credit perk I used on this purchase to either my credit card or to the ship for use on board.... Basically I did not get to go on the excursion and I lost the $50 I earned to use on board due to the cancellation of this excursion. Was not happy about that. Felt a bit cheated. Not sure why Cruises Only did not put the $50 on my onboard account to use before departure or credit me with refund.
I was on this ship last year on its second cruise since the restart. Yup, there were things going wrong, but as for food at any venue was great. Service was slow, but that was mostly due to the crew still being new at their jobs. I never had a "cold" dish brought to me, and to say it was cold is a major exaggeration. I have been in the restaurant biz for 40 years, and to listen to people whine about cold food is over the top. Its all perspective when it comes to the temp of food, cause whats warm, cold, cool, scalding, is all perspective. In my opinion, some people can't be happy no matter how much they pay for cruise or how smoothly it went, cause they have to complain about something. BTW, who has been at the buffet, and heard someone sneeze?.....yeah we don't like to hear it, but thats a part if life, and also to say in 7 days, there was no hot food delivered to the table is the biggest stretch I have ever heard.
