Overall, we had a wonderful time and didn’t remember how beautiful Alaska is! It was a little cold and rained every day in May although that didn’t stop us from enjoying.

Ship was great, food was great, staff was great, ports were great. Would probably cruise during a different time of the year if I did it again, as we literally saw 0 wildlife during the entire cruise. Would have liked more indoor activities during ship days, and missed having dress up nights.

Nice, overall except that we docked too.long in some of the ports with nothing much to do and short stay on ports with a lot of attractions.

This very trip is also both my wife (Doki / Mahdokht MERAJI) and I’s celebration our 40th anniversary. Both Doki and I have travelled much, and most of our past experiences have always been in the Asia continent, and not so much with cruises…but I must admit, NCL has been extremely pleasant and kind to both of us, above all, we have also noticed many people we have meet in the past 10 days here, also enjoyed the experience as much as we have. Additionally, in the past 10 days since checked in, I must let you know how much I have appreciated the consistently excellent work and all the little details from your staff, that had helped us feeling being in Lisbon Norwegian cruise, truly “home away from away” with such great comfort and much care; despite being far away from family, with some motion sickness in the first couple of days….and of course, the complimentary bottle of Chianti from Tyson had helped smooth and eased the motion sickness very dearly and quickly (Tyson, again, thank you very much for being so thoughtful and your kindness). I must share with you my feedback and experience we have had during our stay, as we have been incredibly pleased with your team’s commitment to highest quality services. Housekeeping – We have truly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere with all cleanliness and friendliest services by Mr. Fulgencio TAMESIS Jr. (also, we have been calling him Paul). We have enjoyed all the friendly conversations every morning before going to breakfast as he has started his day, particularly of his wonderful opportunity here with NCL and sometimes sharing some short stories of his family and the beauties of his hometown back in Philippine. As well, I had observed of his engagement with all other customers on the same floor with consistent friendly manner, and they all appeared to enjoy their times chatting with Paul in the hallway. Paul has inspired us in many wonderfully considerate ways, even this morning before we had left for Cadiz, Paul had dropped our laundry with the most friendliness manner. We did give a personal R&A to Paul with $50 USD cash for all his efforts. Of course, every staff on the NCL cruise has been wonderfully kind and very professional. Also, the many choices of food and beverages have been exceptionally wonderful with highest quality. The two other staff worthy recognized: Ms. Johanna ZENKER and Sibomgile MDITSWA, truly very kind and wonderful photographers…..with endless of kindness and beautiful smiles at every greetings. Jenny, I truly understand of your important role within your organization, but I must let you know of your team effort, and it is such people in the organization as mentioned above, who have helped with making your Company great, and if I may say that they are all a true credit to Norwegian Cruise Line and fully epitomizes what 5-Star Service is all about. Alaska Cruises Should Be on EVERYONE's Bucket List

If you are looking for a casual yet service oriented cruise, I would absolutely recommend this cruise on the Norwegian Sun.

Not what I was expecting from NCL, this was more like a Costa cruise, not sure what caused the issues. I'm thinking a combination of it being an older ship, going out of unsupported ports (not local to NCL, with less logistical support) and lack of a full or health staff was the cause of our disappointment with this cruise.

The Sun is an older, smaller ship, but that is no disappointment, Meals are always hot and pleasing, characteristic of NCL. Be sure to be insistant on day one if you have Sapphire or above perks. I suggest you reconfirm on day two and be specific. Although we stopped at the Cruise Next desk with inquiries and requests, we were somehow omitted from Wines Around the World and Officers dinner. Cruise Next Manaager, Silvio, treated these ommissions as trivial. Still, as Sapphire guests who purchase wine by the bottle every night (16ct), we were disappointed. Still hoping to see my Delta Sky Miles bonus post. Perks matter.

I very much enjoyed this cruise. Lived the karaoke team... Lived Andrea Tammie at the windjammer as well as the Philippine gentlemen who really packed the house and was wonderful. Loved lindjy who organized the solo travelers group and did a wonderful job of getting us together and booking dinners. Had a great group of solid.. Lots of clicking going on so we all felt close soon.. shows were entertaining.. Jason the singer Peter the magician, Nicola the singer, the Violin player.. The cat... Everyone was great. Good was very good.. Very accommodating staff.

Had wonderful/weather. This being our first cruise we had a learning curve of things. Being an Alaskan cruise the balcony was not used.

The challenges of cruising to Alaska are real and we expected them. Overall the cruise was good. What wasn't good was a number of unexpected charges that I'm still not sure what they were for. I have come to realize that you double the price you think you're paying for a cruise, but these additional add ons beyond that were an unpleasant surprise.

We booked for the first time with Norwegian mainly based on the itinerary and other good reviews read about the company. Really liked most the ports. The ship is old but it is nicely renovated on the inside. Really liked the 2 restaurants serving dinner but didn't understood why all restaurants were closing at 21:30 since is quite early. After 21:30 you can eat at the bar some burgers, nachos, etc. Loved the fact that you can opt to share the table with other people and we've met quite interesting ones. It wasn't that entertaining mainly because most of the people on board were quite old. The food was good and there is a nice variety of drinks you can enjoy. All in all it was a nice experience.

Don’t waste your money on this cruise. There is much better out there.

My family of 8. Went on a 9 day cruise to Alaska. We had 3 suites and one balcony cabin for my nephews. We had 3 really bad days of rough sea. A few days a bad weather and a few sunny days. I was stuck in my room for 6 days with a sinus cold. My Bulter and Steward where always around helping. They family did a few port. They did not like Ketchikan at all. You had to get a bus to get there since it's not docked near it. They missed the lumber jack show but were given money backs since it was booked through cruise. They had to wait 2 hours in line to get a bus back to ship. That was really only problem besides a few rough days at sea. Juneau wa beautiful and sunny. The only way to go is with a suite to get all the little extras like breakfast and lunch at Cagneys.

My first solo cruise (2nd NCL) to Alaska. I was not disappointed. I would definitely do it again. I appreciated the longer port times in Ketchikan, Haines, and the daylight hours in Victoria. The times outweighs the hiccups .

The itinerary including the Canary Islands and Morocco was the reason we chose this as our 3rd Mediterranean cruise. The NCL Sun ship is older, dirty, and below expectations in terms of cleanliness, food, and entertainment.

Flight cancellations to Seattle started the cruise off poorly. Norwegian’s travel desk was no help. Told us to contact airline ourselves and find a way to Seattle. Took several hours to finely get Delta to tell us they had no alternative. Norwegian travel desk then tells us to find another airline option. What is the travel service for if they are not going to assist with travel disruptions on travel they booked? Very Disappointed

I can't say enough wonderful things about the ship and crew. Was my third time cruising with Norwegian and it's always a great experience. Every staff member is so friendly and efficient. Food and drinks are delicious.
