Review summary

The Sun is an older, smaller ship, but that is no disappointment, Meals are always hot and pleasing, characteristic of NCL. Be sure to be insistant on day one if you have Sapphire or above perks. I suggest you reconfirm on day two and be specific. Although we stopped at the Cruise Next desk with inquiries and requests, we were somehow omitted from Wines Around the World and Officers dinner. Cruise Next Manaager, Silvio, treated these ommissions as trivial. Still, as Sapphire guests who purchase wine by the bottle every night (16ct), we were disappointed. Still hoping to see my Delta Sky Miles bonus post. Perks matter.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Used Four Seasons dining room most often. Server Julie and Sommeliers Shireen (South Africa) and Pepito (Philippines) made every evening an event to look forward to. Hostesses Ivanna and Rexy were always delightful.

Onboard Activities

Excellent fitness center - which I should have used more Hot tubs were nice: hot and well maintained. Service in theses areas was excellent.

Entertainment

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room Steward, Yassah, was excellent. He took care of every request instantly. There were few things to request due to his efficiency! Waitress, Julie, and Sommeliers Shireen (South Africa) and Pepito (Philippines) made every evening an event to look forward to. Hostesses Ivanna and Rexy were always delightful. Persaonnel in the shops were always friendly and pleasaant.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is well maintained. After a few trial runs, it's easy to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was a nice and spacious cabin. Because of the frequency of ports we were happy with the inside cabin type. Typically, we book balcony, but for this itinerary inside was fine.
