I never cruised before this trip. I didn't know what to expect, I very much enjoyed my experience all around. If I do another solo cruise, I will have a better idea of how to enjoy myself on a cruise. Excursions were wonderful.

This is a more relaxing cruise. Bring a Kindle full of good books.

Our experience with the Escape was excellent generally speaking. Some minor but unavoidable “discomforts” were part of life, on the ship and/or elsewhere! (Some groups should have refrained from annoying behaviors -but that probably are cultural traits that reflect negative reaction from the main stream! Not an NCL issue, though)

We found we do not care for large cruise ships. Too many people, We were on the breakaway a few years ago but we stayed in the Haven so we were not in the constant beehive of people 24/7. Over-stimulation is not our cup of tea. We had a good time in spite of the maddening crowds. Thank You

Will never cruise on a ship this big again!!! Always crowded and noisy with almost 7,000 people on this ship. Not relaxing at all

I love cruising, disappointed in our experience with NCL, maybe the freestyle isn’t a good option. The staff doesn’t go above and beyond because there is no incentive for them. Having the same wait staff at dinner you get to know them and they you, always leave them extra tip at the end because they go above and beyond. NCL should consider this.. staff would definitely be nicer and more accommodating to the passengers

Ship was big. I did my daily walks by walking around the cabins on my floor several times when the weather was too cold or windy to be on the tracks

I feel that overall services dropped dramatically due to cost cutting. Changes have been made to benefit the company but inconvenient for customers.

We were supposed to leave NYC at 4 pm but did not leave until 10:30 pm. It was awesome to cruise thru the area at night. Very beautiful. The staff was able to make up the time from the delayed departure and we had a great cruise from there on. The seas were flat almost the entire cruise. Barely a whitecap. The reason we were delayed is that the ship came from the Bahamas and had to go around hurricane Dorian. I heard stories about how rough it was on board during that cruise. We were appreciative that we did not have to go thru what the crew and previous passengers had to endure.

I made a complaint and nobody has acknowledged my email to Norwegian.

Overall a good cruise, but the ship was way too big for our liking. If you have kids, there is a ton for them to do. A lot of bars..too many in my opinion, as there aren't a lot of quiet places on the ship. Some really cool features like outdoor seating on their "boardwalk" and you will never want for things to do or places to eat.

We had a great time on this cruise with the many activities and shows on the Escape. We had a great time at all of the 4 destinations. We enjoyed Bar Harbor and St John the best. L.L. Bean at Freeport, Portland , Maine and Halifax Peggy's Cove were also great. Alvin, the cruise director is amazing and will keep you happy and busy with all of his events.

Great cruise overall. I learned that I prefer smaller ships. There was a lot of options for things to do and selected ports were excellent.

It was uneventful, crowded, worse than my first cruise years ago with Carnival. I tried NCL and strayed from Celebrity. Will never cruise NCL again.

It was basically very good, we won't be sailing on Escape again. We only took it this time because it was going to Bermuda and we had never been there before.

We've been on 12 cruises with 4 different cruise lines and Norwegian was tied with Royal Caribbean as our favorite, but now they're down a notch or two. We've never been on a cruise we didn't enjoy including this one, but NCL has made some disappointing changes. The ship is very big, but many features are too limited for the number of guests on board. For example there are very slow, small, crowded elevators, cramped buffet facilities, a single very small adult pool, a single level theater, etc. More people, but the same amount of space allocated is a lousy equation. Going the week before Labor Day out of New York translates to a lot of kids burning their last days of summer with their folks. A LOT of kids. LOTS. So beware. No towel animals by the room stewards anymore? Really? My wife was disappointed by this lost little touch. No bottled water with the Drink Package? Martini - no problem. A bottle of water, well that's extra above the cost of the Drink Package. That's ridiculous. Why use the Atrium with limited seating and poor viewing for popular game shows and activities? If you're not the first 100 or so, you stand and probably can't see through the crowd. Why not use the theater? We also missed the elegance of a main dining room vs, the Freestyle venues. It's not something NCL can do much about, but several guests really need a refresher to Basic Manners 101. Even with all this we'd still sail NCL again without hesitation, but it may not be our first choice. As far as the port goes, Bermuda is a beautiful island. It's clean, safe, friendly, and civilized. Norwegian now also has a free ferry from the dockyard to St. George, which is a beautiful little town and a nice ferry ride. I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed by NCL this time, but not enough to scare me away for good.

It was great! The service, food, and ship were wonderful. The only issue was with the Splash Academy.
