Book as far ahead as possible. This way you can pay as you go and by the time the cruise comes, you will have it paid for. Pay for the gratuities ahead also so you don't have that bill on your credit card at the end. Book your entertainment and excursions asap. You can always cancel.

Make sure you buy as many packages as possible. Drink package saved money. Fine Dining (a la carte) was all great so buy a minumum of 3 package. It's worth the charge.

Check out the packages they offer. We took advantage of the unlimited drink package and felt it was worth it. Buying beverages on board can add up.

To make a reservation at the a la carte restaurants, go directly to the restaurant way in advance to make the reservation. Calling Restaurant Reservations is an exercise in frustration.

Make your reservations before your cruise. You can do this online 90 days before the trip. Don't wait until you get on the ship or you will be disappointed.

Make your reservations to the fine dining restaurants as soon as you book your vacation. If not, the Garden Buffet was always stocked with tons of amazing food, but in a low key atmosphere.

Go on a diet and lose at least 10 lbs before your cruise. Take the stairs as much as possible as you can justify eating dessert more often. Put something bright on your luggage/handle/strap, etc. that will easily identify your luggage when you disembark.

Just have fun. Get to know others because you will make new lifelong friends. The crew love Please and Thank You's. Don't be in a hurry to do everything in 1 day. Go to at least 1 party. Do dress up at dinner. Definitely check out the Art Gallery. Get to the port early before sailing.
