Review summary

I never cruised before this trip. I didn't know what to expect, I very much enjoyed my experience all around. If I do another solo cruise, I will have a better idea of how to enjoy myself on a cruise. Excursions were wonderful.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining food was good, no deals for upgrade restaurants. Everything higher was a la carte.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools, mini golf, spa, various bar experiences. Definitely could have been more focused on other various activities.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Didn't really see too much of this. Not much of interest in most shows as I'm not personally into musicals.

Children's Programs

No children, solo cruiser

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent service all over the ship

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean and well laid out. Easy to navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean and comfortable lodging on the ship.

Ship tip

It's a very large ship. Get to know it the first day. Explore if you are a first time cruiser

Ports of call

New York, New York

5 out of 5
Did my own thing, so many options for NYC.

Portland, Maine

5 out of 5
Portland was wonderful. Tour bus around the city and a short cruise around the bay which was really nice.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Bar Harbor was very nice. I did a bus up to Cadillac Mountain and a Lobster cruise, both excellent.

Saint John, New Brunswick

5 out of 5
By far my favorite. I love Canada. Hop on hop off bus was perfect.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Again, more Canada. Streets were really busy, I recommend an aquatic tour versus a hop on hop off bus simply due to time and congestion.
