Our experience with the Escape was excellent generally speaking. Some minor but unavoidable “discomforts” were part of life, on the ship and/or elsewhere! (Some groups should have refrained from annoying behaviors -but that probably are cultural traits that reflect negative reaction from the main stream! Not an NCL issue, though)
Embarkation

Confusing lines! Could be better organized.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Manhattan dining room is at its best, with entertainment and extremely well trained staff.
Churascaria dining is good with nice servers and managers attentive to guests’ needs.
Lacucina experience is good with quite good sea foods.
O Sheehan has some excellent servers always with big smiles.
Savor and Taste are fine. Service could be improved at busy time!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Fitness centers have excellent equipment. Attendants, however, could be better trained in dealing with guests, eg welcoming, ready and willing to attend to guests’ needs/questions, rather than at times parading their muscles in the facilities!
Jogging path should be redesigned or moved to another deck to void joggers/walkers of “fighting for room” with other folks. (The Hawaii Cruise’s jogging path is probably the model)
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Some excellent bands and performers, such as the one that performed Tribute to Santana, ...
Children's Programs
Had no children with us
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Room steward provided excellent service. Some line “movers” at guest service desk seem to be argumentative. Some other ship personnel did not always display welcoming smiles.
Next cruise consultants should be more welcome and inviting even in busy times.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The men’s room on the 7th floor aft has a poorly designed paper towel dispenser (by the door, so if you are there to get paper you block the way)!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Excellent design, showing guests’ needs and wants as priorities!
