Review summary

I love cruising, disappointed in our experience with NCL, maybe the freestyle isn’t a good option. The staff doesn’t go above and beyond because there is no incentive for them. Having the same wait staff at dinner you get to know them and they you, always leave them extra tip at the end because they go above and beyond. NCL should consider this.. staff would definitely be nicer and more accommodating to the passengers

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food was mediocre at best. Very disappointed in the dining options

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Boring, barely anything going on in the evening on port days and nothing during at sea days

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Just bad entertainment options

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
There was probably a handful of staff that actually smiled and took the extra effort to make conversation. Most of the staff felt bothered by having to do their job, walked around with a scowl on their faces and never said a word

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Pretty well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Size was great, bathroom was wonderful, bed was awful, hard as a rock. NOT 1 towel animal our entire cruise. Very disappointing

Ship tip

Royal Caribbean

Is this your first NCL cruise? I've been on that ship 3 times and had a blast. You need to engage the crew in a conversation and see how friendly they really are. I believe NCL has the friendliest crew at sea. I cruise between NCL, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Holland America. So Better luck on your next cruise adventure. Happy cruising to all.

Same wait staff every night would take away the freestyle we like. We have been on lines with set times for dinner but we prefer freestyle.

We loved free style dining had no issues. I went on Carnival several times and they went downhill since yips we mandatory and a set price. Staff was horrible. The Escape is great and staff is wonderful.

Their it's no more towel animal due to saving soap and water, and saving the environment. They should have said that in the Munster drill, if you wanted a towel animal then you needed to called customers service and requested and your stewards will come and make you one.

Say hello to the crew like I do. Yes, it's a hard job.

Did you look in the Freestyle Daily? There's where all your things to do on the ship. Port days, most people are doing things.
