the itinerary were go once we started getting them in the right language as they thought all Canadians spoke French, lol. the programs are a good way to set up an itinerary for the day other wise you will not get to see any thing as you need to be early and get in to the lines before they fill up.

Be prepared for the masses. This ship is huge and holds lots and lots of people...I was told 4,000! Most events, shows fill up pretty fast, so arrive early for best seating choices.

Aft elevators much less busy, H20 bar/pool adults only during the day (excellent), seek out deck 18 for a great outdoor quiet space, and when booking a balcony cabin, pay close attention to the configuration - alternate cabins ying-yang with bed by cabin door or bed by balcony door.

Don't get to ship too early as you'll only be assigned a group to wait in for an hour. There is a list of what's on every deck at each elevator deck if you forget your ship map which isn't very good. Elevators are usually busy so don't be in a rush. A lot of large people take up a lot of room.

My tips. Get off the boat the second you can. You have an limited time in port get the most out of it. Florence is a long way from port and it is beautiful but half your day is a bus, so plan accordingly. Get museum tickets in advance online it saves you valuable time.

For example: We wish the ship would have allowed us to buy pictures at a later date online. They are very expensive and most of the time at the end of the ship you have spent all your money. We know we would have bought online at a later time if we had the opportunity to do so.

For example: the ship itinery was excellent . it would show who and what going on. my suggestion for first timers is to bring your luggage aboard with them so they can change and be comfortable and not wait till 6pm for the luggage to arrive by staff, theyre to many passenger to expect luggage to be in room.

I had to exchange US dollars for Euros and there is a service fee to do that at the customer service desk. At the end of the trip, I had Euros left over that I couldn't spend at home, so I traded them for US dollars at the casino (only US money can be used at the casino) and avoided the service fee.

Visit the box office right after you settle in on the ship the first day and schedule your shows throughout the cruise.

I had an Internet package on my phone but found it only worked when I was off the ship. I can only assume that the ship was blocking certain signals to promote its overpriced and lethargic Wi-Fi service.

If you are with a large group and want to eat dinner together I suggest getting with the Hotel management and reserving large dinning table for the duration of the cruise at a specific time. Let your wait staff know that all the seat may not be filled and that someone one will let them know when th

If traveling with family this is the perfect ship with several activities for everyone to enjoy. If you'r e looking for more of an adult trip with relaxing, quiet evenings I would say that it can be done but you have to look a bit harder for the quieter areas.

Study the floor plan, as it is a very large ship. The excursions are pricey, but well worth it. Bring your own wine and pay uncorking fee of $15. The price of wine is quite high ($10-15/glass). If you want a chair by the pool, get up very early. Do portraits, as there is no sitting fee.

The itinerary was great and the tours were very good with the exception of one which was not booked through the cruise line. Keep in mind that there will be some walking even for the level 1 tours. In a couple of towns, I took a taxi back to the bus rather than walk but I'm in my late sixties.
