Don't go for the inner rooms. No private washrooms. Everything is out in the open. Toilet is behind sliding glass doors. Hard to find the elevators on the public floors. Ship is huge and is easy to get lost for the first few days. The casino is enormous compared to other ships.
Bring extra hangers. They have quite a few in each room but a few extra is always needed. As well, bring a closet freshener. You will know what I mean when you open the doors. Packing your bathing suit in your carry-on is a must as your suitcase will most likely not be there before supper.
The customer service managers and the staff need more training. The morale is low. We only met one staff at the Manhattan restaurant who was cheerful. He was from Philippine on a master program for internship . Most of the staff was not well trained and was not happy.
The buffet on the ship had incredible variety, although we never ate dinner there. Also, don't miss the Cirque dinner show and get the premium seats. Sit in balcony if you can. Amazing!!
Cagney's, Washabi bar best for money
Manhattan Club excellent food and service, not waiting. But dress code, no shorts or tank tops. Really this is modeled after New York supper club.
This ship is so big and has so much to do. It is truly Epic. We had an inside stateroom and it was also great - comfortable beds, slept like babies! My experience with the Epic and Norwegian Cruise Line was just perfect! I can not say enough good things about this ship. You will never get board!
For Breakfast we recommend the Garden Café where you will be entertained every morning by two energetic sanitizer greeters. They were a lot of fun. The food here was great. Outside on Deck 14 was the waterslides, hot tubs, and lounge chairs, as well as food. You will not go hungry. We recommend the Le Bistro Restaurant. Fabulous. The Circus /Dinner in the Spiegel Tent was something else. Great! Also you must see the Blue Man Group. They were excellent. A little loud but great. Hospitality out of this world. .
the cirque de soile dining show was fantastic! Specialty dining were never full, way better food!
Ice Bar was fun, a little too pricy (same cost as specialty dining) for the short amount of time we were able to stay
Book your excursions after you leave the ship: you will save a lot of money. An example would be Atlantis Waterpark. Onboard: Adult $159, Child $119. At Atlantis: Adult $129, Child $80.
