There were 4,600 passengers on this cruise, but it rarely felt overcrowded. We did not wait in line for dinner or shows. Freestyle cruising is great! The ship was clean and nice, the staff was friendly. The food was very good, so was the onboard experience. However not much to do in port unless you book an excursion and those were hit or miss, see above. The gym and spa were excellent. Because this was high season there were always other ships in each port. That made time off the ship difficult. Everything on shore was crowded and the excursions were overcrowded because people were all there at the same time from all the 3 or 4 other ships all there at the same time. The disembarkation experience ruined the trip though. It was so stressful because there were no cabs. It would have been fine if I had booked the bus through NCL. Those seemed to be running reliably. I know NCL does not control the cabs, but it was absolute chaos. I hope they learn from this and coordinate better with the port in the future, or at least notify passengers that you will not be able to get a cab so at least they have been warned. We were all blindsided.

Wasted trip no stops. They knew before we took off that there was not going to be stops. Workers knew on first night. Gave us $210. Credit that could only be used in the stores with all sales removed. T-shirts where $25. Dollars.

The weather was awful which caused us to miss the Azores and Bermuda, so we spent all 9 days onboard. That was fine with us, but it would have been better if the ship had more internal open areas so that we could see what was going on outside. Big ships do offer smoother navigation in rough seas, and this was an advantage on the Epic. Other than that, we were not impressed by the size and will be looking for smaller boats in the future.

Azores canceled because of Portuguese Transportation Strike....Bermuda because of weather. $200 ship board non refundable credit offered as compensation. Couldn't use on gratuities, couldn't use at casino...had to use or lose. So bought a cheap quality Invicta watch that I can't even sell on ebay for a fraction of the money I should have been refunded. In addition never got back the port charges that we paid for ports we never went to....In addition December is NOT the time of year to go....wet, rainy, lousy weather the entire time.

Relaxing Seas a Bit Rough Would do a Trans Atlantic Again!

The ports of call were great spots. The ship did the passengers a great disservice by the way they handled them.

Not a very good experience, The cuisine, the ports cancellation, the ports disembarcation, the charged amenities, the poor shows, make this cruise very unpleasent

Overall great cruise. Norwegian needs to work on their tendering process as took too long to get off ship at some ports.

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. Fantastic experience. The dining experience is a standout as is the entertainment - top notch!

All in all worth every cent and the 3 years that we had to wait because of covid. I would like to see NCL drop 2 stops and extend the time in Rome and Naples by 2 days. Allow you more time to visit the sites.

We celebrated our 20th anniversary on this cruise. We had a great time and really enjoyed being on the ship. The crew was amazing, smiling faces and friendly greetings everywhere we went. We would recommend this ship and this itinerary.

I found it very disappointing to enjoy this cruise experience from ones I took on NCL in the past. Overall Pricing, Food, Room and ship design were a huge problem for us. Specialty Dining restaurants food pricing was super high, wine drinks at $18-24 for a single glass was a rip off. Balcony cabin was smaller than a shoe box. Deck furniture was trash. The ship needs a complete do over. Location of elevators were another inconvenience. It appears the cruise ship was only designed to increase their profits and not for the comfort of its passengers.

This was our first cruise and we had a great experience! Would definitely use Norwegian again. We were very impressed with how clean everything was and loved getting to know the staff members from many different countries! Be prepared to spend $75-$400 per person per day on excursions, even those you book yourself.

The cruise was overall a good experience; however, it's 100% not enough time to visit each city. I'm sure there's another cruise that has a couple days at each port and that would have been preferred. The restaurants were pretty good overall, with the exception of the pool deck buffet. That food was not great and really little healthy options. The staff is very nice and helpful. My largest complaint is the on-board doctor. I hurt myself during an excursion and needed medical attention. The doctor had HORRIBLE bedside manner, they did not accept my insurance and they billed me almost $400 for cleaning my wound with iodine and putting a bandage on it. Totally ridiculous, so I did not return for the dressing change.

Great places to visit. Very comfortable , clean, all included good deal.

The cruise was fine and a great time to share with our family. However, did not include the drinks package as requested (phone call proved it was requested, thank goodness for taped calls). Had to pay for each drink and be asked EACH TIME if we were aware we did not have the drinks package. After seven days this got old. Some people actually asked if we could afford to pay for the drinks. After nearly two hours on the phone with , this is during the cruise while my family was trying to get ready for dinner, I was told that the matter would be investigated. Two days later, did the right thing and acknowledged their mistakes, but I needed to send in the drinks bill and wait (and hope) for reimbursement. Very very annoying.

Enjoyed the cruise very much. The port were perfect. The shop does need some updates. The Staterooms are a little tired. If you have 4 ppl you must get the Family size balcony. The regular balcony is too small. The staff owns the food where great. The only problem for us was it was a group of 12 and we had a hard time getting in the dining rooms because with Freestyle dining you can’t make reservations. Overall I would recommend this cruise. I never cruised with NCL and don’t think I would again because of the freestyle dining.

Boat was overall very good, but I'd recommend taking land excursions from somebody else. Norwegian needs tours for more adventurous people who aren't that interested in shopping.
