I have cruised NCL many times, but it may be my last. I am still not happy they changed the itinerary after I booked the cruise and the overall attention to guest satisfaction has gone way down. Unless you have to financially DO NOT take advantage of the airfare option. They had me fly from Seattle to Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta and then to Puerto Rico. Many other guests I spoke with had a similar experience. Also, seriously look for other options/companies that offer shore excursions that NCL, they were my favorite

Worst cruise trip of my life. I am a fan of cruises with more than 20 on different lines. I will give my detailed experience so that you can make a weighted decision on this ship. On Dec 15 2019, I took a trip on the Norweigan Epic through the Caribbean. I was very excited even though I had read several negative reviews but did not believe that the experience could be so bad. (THE CABIN) What we know by bathroom is in different parts of the cabin (shower, vanity sink and water closet) so it is extremely uncomfortable without privacy when you want to have privacy. For example if you used the toilet you have to go out and use the sink that is in the middle in the cabin and the smell is not pleasant. When using the shower, you have to go out into the hallway to finish drying and putting on clothes. The lighting is extremely poor inside the cabin. (LIFTS) This boat has 8 lifts at the front and 8 in the rear and not distributed in different areas of the boat this causes in peak hours to take up to 10 minutes or more to be able to take the elevator. The architect who designed the cab and the position of the elevators do not consider the drawbacks of its design to guests that should be their priority. (SERVICE AND QUALITY MEALS) The buffet meals were always the same and there was no significant variety in the 7 days and in the 2 restaurants were very simple meals and not the quality I am used to on other cruises. The service at the buffet and restaurant was lousy. In the buffet the tables were always dirty and were slow to clean. The employees didn't give you good morning or good afternoon and no cordiality. I HOPE THIS INFORMATION WILL HELP YOU

One big issue we found was the lack of communication between the crew and the passengers. Our excursions were changed and we were not notified. We did not get any sort of apology for the embarkation problems. Nor any compensation for the port that was canceled after we paid

Terrible embarkation. Mediocre food at standard restaurants. Strange layout overall. Good entertainment but large crowds. Good drinks. Strange smells in hallways. Long waits for meals. Packed Garden Cafe for breakfast and lunch.

I would not go on the Epic again or go out of Puerto Rico. Staff and food was very good. I would not rate my cruise a 3.5 more like a 2. This survey is not easy to take.

Overall the ship was not up to isr with most modern ships, only 2 tiny pools no bigger than my master bedroom I never went for a swim. Poolside entertainment was nonexistent to say the least. Few poorly planned activities and the music by the performers was the same songs all week! Salsa music ALL DAY needed to be more well rounded! Food quality was ok but the menu never changed. The specialty dining NOT WORTH AN PENNY! The Buffet restaurant is very small for the number of passengers and the lives to grab some food we’re insanely long! Staff was not inviting nor happy to serve you they looked exhausted and unmotivated.

It's just a cruise! Never goes to San Juan for embarkation.

Do not cruise on the Epic. No organization and total lack of concern for passengers. If it wasn't for the beverage packages people would have held a mutiny! DO NOT TAKE THE PROMOTIONAL AIRFARE. It is a nightmare! It is free (and they shove that in your face) but they are the worst flights! At the airport at 3:30am for a 5amflight to board after 2pm!!

The worst experience of my life on vacation ... First time using this cruise line and the experience was shocking ... never in my life had I had to make so many lines ... disastrous activities or would have to be paid ... disastrous television ... they charge you up to the movies. If you are going to play billiards, bowling and other activities you have to pay them extra ... they charged me tips twice on the bill and there daily. They never send a statement. They never send instructions for the process of taking bags last night (or even a regular customer), luggage tags have to go to pick them up for customer service (and guess that; because nobody told me). Many arrogant employees and show performers do not even say ... anyway ... I will never use this line again ... The only good thing is meals, cleanliness and hygiene ...

We enjoyed the ship itinerary and all the onboard activities and shows very much. Also the personnel generally do a good job of handling so many many people. Expecially the dining room staff were very nice, attentive and professional. We enjoyed those aspects of the cruise. The cabin small but the bed very comfortable. And a really nice balcony. On the other hand, It was very slow coming onto and getting off the ship (mostly Embarkation/Disembarkation.....not so much in the ports of call). Very little communication on the Embarcation and Disembarkation process. Guest Services was nice but uncoordinated with some of our issues (with the squeeling noise). We've only been on one other smaller NCL Jade, which we did enjoy a lot. I'm not sure if this ship is just too big. Or we had some bad luck. We like NCL but would have to think twice before going on a similar ship.

Don’t use Norwegian period Medical facilities are a rip off $6,000.00 to be traated for a cold The ship arrived from previous trip with a gastritis epidemic affecting pax’s and crew Lack of sufficient crew on next trip since they drop the sick in Barcelona

NEVER THIS SHIP, ANYWHERE. PUT IT OUT OF ITS MISERY.

We really feel like we were shammed by Norwegian, As seniors we paid a lot of money for the haven with the expectations of having the wonderful experience we enjoyed on the getaway. We got no embarkation or disembarkation benefits at all, instead of being escorted to our busses we were turned loose in the epic theater to stand in extremely long to get off and getting back on was a joke. Then to have to pay a taxi after having paid for transfers to airport was the final humiliation. Norwegian just lost once a year travelers

Ship very noisy. Bathroom in cabin terrible. Didn’t like “free style”

Overall, the destinations were good. Just wish the dining experience had been better.

Great first cruise and everyone was great. We are now hooked on cruising and Norwegian has our business.

cruise was excellent. This was my dad's first time on NCL and going on a Mediterranean cruise and he had a great time.

Except for the lack of service from the travel agency and the issues with our cabin, we had a great trip. Will definitely cruise again.

Our flight was delayed leaving JFK 3 hours so we arrived in Rome late and missed our tour of the Vatican. When I originally booked the cruise I requested the hotel that was downtown Rome. They put us in the hotel at the airport. When I realized this I called and was informed that the hotel was booked and we had to change the reservation ourselves which I did. By doing this I had to cancel transportation from the airport to the hotel and to the ship and make the arrangements myself which was quite expensive. We lost our tour of the Vatican. We were supposed to have prepaid gratuities which was cancelled in error when I called I was informed that this was going to be taken care of and added again. Obviously it was not we ended up canceling the gratuities and leaving are gratuities in an envelope. I have been on many Norwegian Cruises which we have enjoyed. This one was very uncomfortable it seems there was always some issue that would keep us from enjoying ourselves. The only good time was when we were off the ship and not having to deal with some issue that was supposed to be taken care of and wasn't. Sorry to complain but had to get it off my chest. Thank you

Our travel agent Thomas Houser advised us on where to go on each port of call and his advice was on point. He is outstanding!!!!!!!!!!
