Review summary

Our travel agent Thomas Houser advised us on where to go on each port of call and his advice was on point. He is outstanding!!!!!!!!!!

Embarkation

1 out of 5
We were Haven customers and the person we were suppose to board with was not in attendance so we were sent to the ship without our boarding card by a new trainee who was not aware we couldnt board the ship without our card. So we had to exit the ship and walk all the way back to the port and wait for our cards to get on the ship. We also were not given the chance to take a picture at the port because no one was there.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Out of (3) Specialty restaurants we went to only Cagney's was good. The food a the Brazilian restaurant was ok however service was very slow and the salad bar was weak. La Cucina the food was poor as well as the location on the boat. It was underneath a main dining room. All Specialty restaurants on the ship allowed all types of clothing. We saw one guy sitting at Cagney's wearing a tank top. The Humidor was excellent as well as the buffets. As large as the ship was I couldn't understand why the Art Auction group didn't have a room to conduct business as i have seen on smaller ships. They were doing business in the hallway which made me not want to purchase any art.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The entertainment was great and the gym was massive and had everything however it was in back of the boat. In the morning while running on the treadmill I was inhaling fumes from the ship engine. I ended up working out in the Haven Gym which was very small.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the entertainment was first class and the performers were awesome.

Children's Programs

we didnt bring our kids

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Our Butler was new and didn't know anything. Our room service person was married to our Butler and it looked like she was helping him clean rooms instead of helping me get questions answered. I found myself seeking out answers daily and rarely saw my Butler. Cagney waiters and bartenders at the various bars were excellent. As well as the main Haven host who was training my Butler.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Loved the Epic layout and design.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved it and would love to stay in it again.

Ship tip

Dont cancel excursions outside of the city due to issues in the city, yet have excursions that tour the whole city which we discovered when we boarded our bus to the hotel. Have the Art Auction to purchase in a room and not the hallway. Delist La Cuchina as a specialty resturant. Have all specialty resturants require a man to wear a jacket. Include service fees for all rather than trying to estimate what to tip. move the gym to the front of the ship.

Once we left the ship it was mass confusion. I literally had to walk up and down the dock to find our bus to the hotel
