We had great weather, very good Itinerary for our 11 Night Cruise. Ship's crew and staff did a very good job. Ship's design and layout were not to our liking (but that is us). Some other cruisers enjoyed the room designs. Entertainment was very good, they just need to organize better. I was disappointed at being charged taxes on our Free drinks while in San Juan.

Very nice trip - enjoyed spending time with friends. The bar outside Cagney's was great - our meeting spot and bar server made sure we had an area saved for group at 500 - and plenty of drinks and peanuts. Spa service was excellent. Food was average except for French bistro. Missed an area in the front of the ship to relax and watch the ocean like on the Bliss. Room Steward Putu was fantastic. Overall a great time!

Ports were interesting, but we didn't spend enough time in most of them. I didn't quite understand why we left so early from the islands that were so close together, and took only a few hours to reach.

I understand that there are thousands of people for the staff to wrangle during excursion line-ups. But there is a lot of line jumping by inconsiderate passengers, and the staff gets overwhelmed and lets these people bulldoze in.

Not what we expected from the reviews we read. Just my opinion.

* The disembarkation sheets had contradictory info on them regarding the "self-assist" pink tag process. Had different times in 3 places on sheet. Needs better proofing. * Non-smoking poorly enforced on deck #7 shuffle board that was supposed to be non-smoking. * ventilation in and around casino was poor, smoke smell was pervasive elsewhere * numerous metal divider panels on balconies were loose enough to clang on and on and on, needs to be part of steward daily check as well as moving chairs away from metal balcony divider since many chairs get blown into dividers and make noise all night long * is a challenge to address all cultures on a ship, however, NCL could develop a info sheet of "How to be a good neighbor cruiser" with info like, DO the washy-washy (saw lots of people skipping it), follow no smoking rules with smoking only in the following areas of x, y, z (NCL never lists the exact locations on the freestyle daily); be aware your voice carries when on room balcony * excursion desk seemed not to be linked to Latitudes info to give excursion discount, noticed it on TV account and went back to get it fixed twice * need to have an Atrium TV channel that shows what is happening live with sound in the Atrium * info on ship channel of weather, location, etc. needs an IT upgrade. Appears to be an old IT package for the display

This cruise docks in the Dutch Caribbean, West Indies, and both the British and American Virgin Islands. That's lots of islands and lots of sunshine. The ship (Epic) is huge, but that means lots of on-board activities.

We were left at the airport in San Juan by NCL Hotel and Air. Some genius forgot to put us on the list. Due to an air delay it was 1 am. No one for NCL will take responsibility if this happens. I called everyone possible WARNING THE EMERGENCY NUMBER IS ONLY OPEN FROM 8-5 EST M-F, If you need it hope you have your emergency then. NCL was no help in letting any know I would be late due to a weather issue. I eventually found that SOMEONE failed to place our names on the list - either NCL or the hired transportation company. Even with a copy of this list and a copy of the bill proving it was paid for - they would not refund any money or even say the magic words that would have made it much better. "We are sorry we made a mistake, what can we do to fix it?" This is really unacceptable - don't think I will bother booking their pre-cruise hotel package again - though the first time was incredibly good. The bad news for me I have another one booked for June. I will call myself to make sure I am on the list. I literally spent 5 hours at least of vacation trying to get someone to understand they did not do what they were supposed to do. I was never successful - the fact is NCL felt NO responsibility for leaving us in the airport at 1am in the morning (the lady in charges said she would've been there if she knew my name and flight info) - NCL Air was notified but they did not think was important to tell anyone. NCL Miami Office was also notified they tried their best to convince me that no one would pick me up regardless - though I paid for it. Surprise there was a NCL rep there when we arrived for someone else. On board I was given the run around and even was accused of not paying for it - even with the receipt on the boarding document. The TA was also blamed for not paying - yet it was on the boarding document. This had a huge negative impact on my vacation. Working to get some funds back through travel insurance, however I still feel that NCL should be able to refund when they don't fulfill there end of the service agreement. This was the worst cruise we have ever had from NCL and we are Platinum - which obviously makes no difference. If you choose pre or post Hotel and Air - BEWARE. They are not organized well enough to deal with a problem. If it works it is great but don't let a plane get delayed. I was given my gratuities back eventually as they said that was all they could do. Well not sure that covers my time and frustration, but at least it was something (please do not tell me I kept a worker from tips) I tip in person anyway. I was NCL that took the tips away. The EPIC rooms are Dark and Dreary you cannot see with the lights on, unless you are in the Haven or Single cabins. It's just not my favorite ship. Choose another one and it will be much better.

I will cruise wit Norwegian again love it free stile I did not like that you charged tips per day. So if I use cash listed of credit card you will consume my money before I get to use it. But other than that awesomeness

overall a good experience, some spotty weather forced the ship to divert to Gaudeloupe and Martinique which messed up some excursions that were planned but not blaming anyone for that. My only real complaint is the food, I sailed with Carnival last year and would have to say that their food offerings and quality were superior, which I found surprising considering many peoples low opinion of Carnival....

It was a great time! I don't know if the price is worth a repeat visit... but it was fun nonetheless.

Love this cruise, smaller boat, more islands, love it. Service was incredible.

Overall, my husband & I enjoyed our cruise on the Epic. I had sailed on the sister Getaway and preferred that ship more. Having sailed out of San Juan vs Florida in December was better weather. Travelling before the Christmas holidays was much better value. I have sailed with NCL more than any other cruise line and they never disappoint. Could use some improvement on debarkations at ports

Epic disappointment. Won’t do Norwegian again. We will go back to Royal Caribbean. So much better and greater value. We know we will have a great experience on RCCL.

my cruise experience was semi ruined by the constant Nickle and diming on the ship I never even got a chance to finish my meal package

The ship and the itinerary were great. The embarking process was crowded and unable to handle the number of people in the area. Even at times, it didn't seem like the staff could effectively handle the volume of people on the boat. This is the largest ship that we have cruised on, and as a young adult couple we would prefer the smaller boats if they are available.

I was not impressed at all with NCL and would never choose them again. For the price it was fine. But if you want a traditional cruise experience NCL isn't for you!
