Review summary

I was not impressed at all with NCL and would never choose them again. For the price it was fine. But if you want a traditional cruise experience NCL isn't for you!

If you are a person who does not drink alcohol don't expect to be served iced tea in the dining room in under 20 minutes. Also, often the coffee is empty at the buffet at breakfast and the water machines don't work throughout the day.

Onboard Activities

The waterslides are not operational other than when you are at port.

Entertainment

The comedians were great! Ships entertainment staff was wonderful. Bingo is fun. Cirque is worth it (not the food though). The games are fun too!

We only met our room steward twice - once when my luggage was MIA and the other time when our minibar had been accessed without our doing so. Waiters weren't attentive. Entertainment staff was the only reason this got 2 stars not 1, they are fantastic!

I asked on the Epic and although my room steward wasnt tha greatest, I found that all other aspects to be above average. Food was great, and plenty available. I will say that they have issues with ice cream machines that need attention. I have had this issue on every NCL ship.

Sorry you had such a bad experience. We had the complete opposite experience. The slides were open all the time, the room steward was the best and there was never a problem with the buffet. We had a different itinerary but goes to show how the little things can give such an opposite opinion of the very same ship.
