Review summary

The ship and the itinerary were great. The embarking process was crowded and unable to handle the number of people in the area. Even at times, it didn't seem like the staff could effectively handle the volume of people on the boat. This is the largest ship that we have cruised on, and as a young adult couple we would prefer the smaller boats if they are available.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
over crowded terminal, we had to walk a half mile with luggage because of traffic

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
food quality was good and facilities kept clean, service seemed slow, too few servers for restaurant capacity

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
fitness center was large and well kept, the water slides ran very infrequent despite good weather, pools were clean but over crowded for any relaxation you would have to have the thermal spa package

Entertainment

5 out of 5
howl at the moon, epicurean, and burn the floor well organized and fun

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
friendly and good quality, many times slow even in specialty restaurants. Seemed to be too many guests for service to be covered efficiently

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was clean and well maintained, decor was up to date, it was easy to navigate around. I would have preferred the library be in a more scenic location to provide a quiet area to relax

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
roomy with adequate storage for luggage, shower comfortable and spacious. there were a few issues with some of the outlets working and the sliding glass door handle

Ship tip

best suited for large groups or families with children

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
inefficient layout for embark and debark but the town was easy to get around and full of activities. we enjoyed our city tour, the rainforest, and the Bacardi distillery. it is worth arriving a day early or staying a day late to see the area.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

5 out of 5
beautiful island, port easy to get around, nice snorkeling (we did the treasure island snorkel trip)

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
my favorite island, nice welcome center, easy to catch a cab for site seeing. we toured the coastline and banana plantation

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
pretty island, more populated/commercial, snorkeling nice, nice scuba dive sites. we snorkeled and dove the antilla ship wreck.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
pretty town with lots of shopping, a little more difficult to travel by cab. we toured the hato caves which were impressive to see.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
everything thing ran late including our excursion. The excursion received no expedited process, so we had to wait in the general baggage and customs line. Since the tour left late it was rushed to unsure we made it to the airport on time.
