This was our first time on NCL and also sailing out of NYC. We enjoyed the 14 day cruise in the early February time frame and would definitely look to do a similar cruise again. We were, in general, happy with NCL. If you like to get into the water in the Caribbean beaches, keep in mind that at this time of year the water might be a little cooler than you're expecting but still refreshing. After all, its still winter. Happy cruising....!!

Excellent cruise except for the missing train. We couldnt expect more.

We try to enjoy 14 day warm vacation in South Caribbean, but it was too much people and some services were not provide very well, give us negative experience for Breakaway ( This is or 3rd time with it. Previous 2 feels very good.), EVEN for NCL.

Very disappointed this time with customer service. If it would be my first time with NCL, I would never go with them again

I don't recommend this cruise for any experienced cruiser. This is a cruise for first timers and/or bargain hunters.

Very good cruise overall, would recommend it to anyone. We have done this cruise and this ship 3 times now. NCL is a great cruise line.

Never use United cruise lines very unprofessional they change things without notification if I could I would’ve asked for a full refund but I know they wouldn’t give it to me

From the first time we boarded the Breakaway, we did not feel welcomed as we were either ignored or we were poorly assisted by the ship's crew. This will be our first and last time booking with Norwegian.

I can honestly tell you I will never sail with NCL again. I have been on Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Holland and Costa before, and I will make it a point to advise my friends against traveling with this line. Interesting to note that as we met people and asked them about their experience, they shared similar stores. I just wasted a lot of my time and money.

I like Norwegian Breakaway. Previous cruises I was not happy because of poor quality of food in the Dinning Rooms. But now food is excellent everywere!

Great time with a large group of family, Good food, Nice destinations. Not sure if cruising is my thing, too many people jammed into one place, buffet lines were insane, Not a lot of quiet time.

Great trip! We had an amazing time together! We went for Christmas and it was money was well spent!

We cruise Norwegian a lot. Would not cruise Breakaway again. Next cruise will probably be a different line. May do Escape to Bermuda though because I love how Norwegian does the Bermuda itinerary.

We know the cruise industry had to jump to replace the destinations that were effected by the hurricanes but offering ports that were not equivalent to ones booked without offering compensation is just wrong! We booked with BJ’s and they did step up and helped the best they could and we will book with them again. Think about Trip Insurance it could make your travel less stressful. I think Norwegian could have offered better Destinations or Compensation for these non equivalent offerings. Then again if I purchased insurance I would not have had to go on this vacation. Read the Fine Print

Cruise line does not care about customer satisfaction, despite multiple customer inquiries and complaints (all about the same issues) they were still not concerned.

DIDNT HAVE A GREAT TIME THIS TIME AND THEY WOULD NOT CHANGE MY ROOM WHEN CLEARLY IT WAS NOT GOOD..

On that ship they try to sell more things than others, all is about money. The coordination is poor, activities are worst and yes, is bigger, but not about activities, you have the same common areas for entertainment but it is bigger because there are more customers desk so.....much more people, is that better? absolutely not. I prefer to dont be on a ship crowed on my vacations, and that is definitely worst on the Norweigan Breakaway

I had higher hopes for this cruise. There was no one thing that ruined it for me but it also wasn't the fantastic vacation I was hoping for. The room was nice and the drink package was great (better than expected selection that we definitely took advantage of) but the mediocre service, long waits for everything, hit-or-miss daycare and skipping the private island really diminished what should have been a fantastic trip. I have travelled with NCL multiple times before but I doubt I will cruise with Norwegian again.

Overall, it was a nice cruise but I think this is my last time on a large NCL ship. We ALWAYS cruise this time of year as most people do not do so and the ships are usually not crowded. (most people will wait under Christmas break if they are going to cruise after Thanksgiving) It was my understanding that the NCL Gem was out of service and NCL moved those people onto the Breakaway bringing it to a fuller capacity than it normally is this time of year.

As a long time Norwegian line fan (1992), my husband and I were VERY disappointed. We LOVE to cruise; however, we will look into other lines in the future.
